US asks Pakistan to give land to repair aircraft

If the news item is correct in what it is saying, it means they need some facility for landing and maintenance of helicopters or aircraft, which are being used in the anti-drug operations in Afghanistan, some area being border with Afghanistan.

The request has been done by a person who is involved in anti-drug operations and the news items is also talking about anti-drug operations.

So no need to panic or get fishy :)

Hi i was lectured in another thread that there is another base which is already operating from where drones are launched. Can you please provide the data regarding that since i consider you as a senior member with much knowledge regarding that, Pleaseee??
It would be very informative if you can provide the list of military installations now operating inside Pakistan's soil.

Not possible US want it because in future he will tackle Pakistan easily... I BET ARMY WILL NOT ALLOW THIS!! inshallah!

US tactics first go for war or not possible thn go for friendship > need bases > start work > @ end's country suffer and we dont need any example we itself example of soo called SUPER DUPER US friendship....

Its US tactics to first on the name of Aircraft repair base enter Pakistan with open base just like before jacobabad Airbase Sindh!

Wasnt your Shamsi Air Base already under US control?
Asking more now, eh?

But isn't the whole of Afghanistan sufficient enough for them? Why they need Pakistani land? Or could it be like asking Pakistan to do the maintenance work for them in their territory?

And india aswel:woot:

LOL!

BTW,Above statement sure makes sense. More to it than meets the eye.
How many Blk 52 F-16s for a base?
And how many Blk 1000 F-16s for one's soul?

Wake up guys!

. . .
and who was saying in another thread that Pakistan will not have to do anything for the F 16s??? ;)

I did not expected this trolling attitude from you. Comeon you relating this with F-16s? If this is all US requires, we will be more then happy to oblige:lol:
By the way someone was also saying it is going to help India and its a win win situation, let me guess Indian planes too will require maintenance since track record isnt too good back home.

Dont know about this helping India but dont understand about your trolling comment. Its always a give and take.. And never on a one on one basis. Its not that you give a base and get 18 F 16s.. Its a composite agreement in which you get some stuff and in return give some or do some..How is this trolling??

why r u people crying and worrying about it too much!?
its not gonna be a base.....even if it is then our people will get surely piss!

Think beyond the current engagement in Afghanistan. What happens when Things go haywire after the departure of ISAF and Iran, India, The Northern Alliance, & Russia start calling the shots over there?

We need to hedge our bets carefully. We are currently basing our calc. on the quasi Taliban/Karzai setup post ISAF -- what if this does not pan out like this?? What then?

Furthermore, like Kirgizstan (Seems like US lost that airbase) try to milk the Americans for every cent -- the Kirgiz did that for US$2.0 billion per year!!!

Our sovereignty or lack of it cannot be any worse than what it is today.

Let us think through what is in our interest post the Soviet era, and uni-polar world, increasingly belligerent India with mounting economic clout in this region.

What we need is the big bully on our side until such time when we can stand on our own two feet.
