No it is not. The Iranian regime is violating the NPT. They had the rights to NOT sign but they chose other wise. They are a signatory nation and have violations on their part, that makes them a legit military target, not only of the US but also a legit military target of any nation that is a signatory and has the military means.

In any event, I hope a war between us does not come to pass, but let me say the US has a history of following up on such threats.

I seriously Doubt either US or Israel has any plans to attack Iran. If they did, they would'nt be talking about and would just do it. It is all about keeping the pressure on Iran because both US and Israel believe the threat of war is more damaging to Iran than actual attack. A threat of War mixed with Sanctions have a negative impact on Iran with no corresponding harm to the US or Israel. However, an actual attack will have disastrous consequences for the region, US, Israel and the World at large.
