Industry sources say NGAD will be “orders of magnitiude” harder to detect than even the fifth-generation fighters of today, with the same radar cross section as a BB shot. It will also be stealthier in many different bandwidths, rather than optimized against a few key bands of search-and-track radars.

In recent months, F-22s, F-35s, and even older F-117s have been spotted and photographed wearing unusual shiny metallic panels; in some case, over the entire aircraft. The Air Force will not disclose the purpose, but it is likely they are testing potential upgrades for fifth-generation fighters or perhaps a new kind of stealth treatment for NGAD.

.
The article also states that production of the final design test aircraft will likely begin in 2027.

.
Does Russia also have 6th generation program? Usually, they are only a step behind the US.

. .
They don’t have a functioning 5th Gen yet.
Yes, but they would have at least announced a program. They did so for 5th Gen fighter when they did not yet have the best tech at that time

Russia and china will come up with new radar technologies to detect it.
Nothing to fear.

And by the time it is inducted technologies to detect it also will be developed.

There’s almost no chance we see a 6th Gen Russian fighter, especially now with sanctions on Russias aerospace sector. And they don’t have the money anyways for something like this.

One who controls the semiconductor industry, controls the fate of the world. :D

China is only one step behind in that field and they have got the will and the resources to catch up, so don't count your chickens yet.

Yes, China will catch up to US for sure eventually. But then, why would China need Russia for? Chinese engineering and technology is on par with Russia even now.

Words of wisdom for you, two heads are better then one. There are always going to be certain technologies where both can learn from each other.
