UPA's Pink Revolution Makes India World's Biggest Beef Exporter

These are unthinking fools who preached socialism and evils of Brahminism for a half a century and finding themselves to be colossal failures have switched tactics and now latched on to capitalism as the panacea of all the ills of the world. So naturally Vaishayas as the custodians of trade in the Indian society and the closest co-relates of the industrialists and business community in the West are now blemishless souls while everyone else was wicked.

The evils of Brahmanism is a british creation. Much like the AIT. Muslims propagated the myth but truth be told the muslim leaders had great regards for the Brahmins.

But like AIT, a whole generation of Indians have swallowed this hate propaganda hook line and sinker. But as you have rightly pointed out, for a new generation that prides itself on their Ignorance of Hinduism and grew up admiring mindless pursuit of money and immoral capitalism, Vaishyas are the new age custodians of all that is moral and ethical :P

A philandering salman khan is the new role model, Ambani is the new idol, beef eating is the definition of secularism.

i'm glad you are trying to provide equal rights of corruption to gurus, politicians and gangsters, not too far from the truth

Serves me right for overburdening your limited intellect :hitwall:

@madhu_greenleaf You didn't answer this question. :coffee:

Suras were those who drank the elixir of immortality and the asuras were those who did not is one explanation. There are many other.

@Manvantaratruti Please explain a bit about the origins of these names, @DRAY is desperate to test whether I am a pundit of Hinduism though I have no where claimed to be one.

It must be highly disconcerting to them that almost all our top industrialists are hardcore vegetarians. Most being Jains and Marwadis:lol:.

Good, now stop sugar-coating it a say it clearly, Suras are Devas, Suras & Asuras had differences over a few things, the major one was "Sura", what is Sura?

Another question, Do you know there are several versions of Ramayana, and Ram is not exactly a Hero, not even a good man in some versions?

What does it matter to me what subsequent plagiarizers wrote about Ramayana, I will go entirely by the original Ramayana and so do the rest of Hindus in our country. You can choose the Ramayana where he is the villain. Expect that to be your comfort level.

why u all are fighting on something on which debate will never end.....
this thread was on pink revolution but now it has been derailed to ramayana revolution .....wow...:lol:

Below are some of the excerpts from ancient scriptures and epics.

1)Mahabharata, 500 B.C.: King Rantiveda slaughters 2,000 cows a day in his royal kitchens and distributed beef along with grain to apparently grateful Brahmins, the Hindu priests.

2)Charak Samhita, 100 B.C.: Flesh of cow is prescribed as a medicine for various diseases. It is also prescribed for making soup and advised as a cure for irregular fever, consumption, and emaciation. The fat of the cow is recommended for debility and rheumatism.

3)Taittiriya Brahman , 500 B.C.: Verily the cow is food.

4)Yajnavalkya, one of the most popular hindu sages: ''Some people do not eat cow meat. I do so, provided it's tender.''

5)Sacrificial offering for Indra, the rain God and Agni, the fire God, are bulls and cows. (Perhaps that is why we are having less rain, as we stopped sacrificing cows.)

6)Vedas have mentioned 250 animals out of which at least 50 are fit for sacrifice and human consumption.

7)Manusmriti did not prohibit the consumption of beef.

Who said that alternative versions of Ramayanas were written by plagiarizers? Wasn't Raavana a Dharmik?

However, you didn't answer what is Sura that Devas/Suras loved to drink but Asuras were against it?

Ravana was a Brahmin. So?

Somras is what you are hinting at and where does that lead to?

Heard the Siddhas could conjure up real good tricks. So most likely my world would have been full of psychics with awesome powers. It would have been pristine unpolluted world with plenty of natural fresh food without traces of pesticide. There are plenty of plant based ayurvedic and Siddha medicines which can give your allopathy a run for its money even now. So no, people were not dying left, right, and center from mosquito bites before and man has not achieved immortality with modern medicine either.

Here is a lovely video of a primitive man naturally controlling and befriending fire.

Here another primitive man treating cancer patients with just herbs. Dont dismiss him because he is being studied by the medical colleges in Karnataka.

Cool. Here's also a video of a quadriplegic "man" choking someone from a thousands miles away.

Seriously now though more than 20 pages about people bickering about other peoples diet?

What the hell happens to live & let live?

While I am fighting radical Muslims from both our neighbouring countries, some rabid radical Hindus are seating right inside my own country, they don't eat beef, fine, but why everybody have to act as per their liking? How is it different from radical Muslims prohibiting idol worshiping of Hindus? Then Talibans were also right to destroy the Buddha idols.

Is it not fantastic that our Mythologies had these ideas thousands of years before? Starwars set off the US govt on to its ambitious space based ballistic missile defence system. If only our dorks could take some inspirations from our own cultural moorings.

Somras is/was an alcoholic drink, that's why Asuras were against it but Suras or our Devas liked it. In certain Tantric rituals alcoholic drinks are necessary, where did you get that Hindus don't drink alcoholic drinks?

Same goes for meat also.

So not killing animals is now equivalent of destroying temples and statues?

Basically while claiming to fight the muslims fundamentalists you want to take up all the traits of the muslim fundus, killing and torchering animals and ridiculing Hindus about their faith. Very inspiring man.
