F16 is not much better. I guess single engined aircraft can only do so much. F-22 on the other hand could do vertical climb in about 5 seconds after takeoff.

F-22 is no better . Here is a clip of F-22 doing vertical take off multiple time and on each occasion it takes 10 secs flat to go vertical after taking off the ground .

Look at this F-22 Raptor's vertical takeoff which also as you said " so it flies parallel to the run way for another 10 + seconds " just like LCA Tejas did . How would explain this ??
It may be true for you that JF17 > F22 raptor .
