- Burma and China can work together to make North East states independent

- after North East gets independence, we will take all Rohingya's in as our citizen as a goodwill gesture to Burma to get access to ASEAN
1. Three undisclosed points imposed by India in the Peace Agreement with the Chakmas are pertinent here:
a. All efforts to be made by GOB as well as PCJSS/ Shanti Bahini to ensure all "illegal" Bengalee entrants be ousted and others [prevented from entering anew.
b. GOB to ensure that all Rohingya insurgent camps in CHT and Cox's Bazar are shut down.
c. All Rohingya settlers in CHT be ousted from CHT.
2. CHT has always been in India's cross-hair owing to this area hosting Naga, Mizo, TNV (Tripura) and other insurgent camps. More important, this has been the route through which the NE freedom fighters have been receiving their supplies of weapons and eqpt.
a.The Nagas had gotten themselves organized pre-1971 and had established a route into S China. As such they hardly used CHT for base but continued to use E Pak as a route out/in. Even Dr Phizo passed through Dhaka but did not live here. Therefore, they were not physically present in CHT after late 1960s.
b. The Mizos however continued to use CHT till the 71 War. Whereas the Naga territory does not border BD, Mizoram is adjacent to Bandarban. The Mizos consider the Chakmas close cousins. Laldenga himself stayed in Mohammadpur, Dhaka with his family. His children studied in Dhaka schools. In 1971 the Mizos suffered heavy loss in ops against 8 E Bengal and Bengalee auxiliaries which were on their way to India.Just after the War Indian 55 Mountain Div, Agartala carried out a combing ops of CHT but could discover nothing except an abandoned medieval muzzle-loading shotgun. However, friendly and peaceful Mizo civil hamlets were later discovered by BA patrols deep into the forest. Soon Laldenga surfaced and declared that the creation of BD was in favor of India and as such there was no point for the Mizos to continue their armed struggle. Mizos now appear at peace with India under a sort of autonomous deal. FYI, IA's Jungle Warfare School or the main training center for special ops is in Mizoram.
c. TNV is reported to have had a facility in CHT post-71 but it was shut down long ago.
3. A look at Op Leech conducted by RAW will provide a better understanding of the importance that India attaches to CHT and Arakan.
