Hopefully the shooting down of this missile will mean data about it will reach all NATO nations, and eventually the rest of the world on the true capabilities and vulnerabilities of Russian systems. ACtually, having a patriot system means defeat is on the way:
1.Saudis have patriots- lost the war in Yemen basically
2. ISrael has patriots- lost wars to Gaza in 2019 and Hezbollah in 2006
3. US military- had patriots in IRaq and maybe Afghanistan- lost both wars

Ukraine having patriots means its military defeat is guaranteed, so now its only a matter of when that is accepted.

Good, hopefully Ukraine gets rest of the Patriot systems sooner than later. Chinese must be annoyed because this war has shown to west that ammo production must be modernized and when they try to to take control over pacific they'll opponents are better armed than before.

A lot of these people who talk about Patriot system don't really know how they worked. Me included. But I do know about one thing as part of strategic planning. You don't single up an asset out in the cold and hope it will stay safe, you don't just do that, on the other hand, you don't devote the resources on a single asset and hope it will turn your war around.

Can Patriot missile system be destroyed? Sure, why not, every combat system can be destroyed, be it the rifle you use, to the tank you use or anti-air system you use, people who fight war, or plan on warfighting know one thing, it's always how much effectiveness of your system perform before they were destroyed is the issue here, for the Russian here, they can always destroy a patriot system, but would it turn into a white elephant is another issue, because system that got destroyed can be replaced, it's not like Raytheon gonna stop making them when they were destroyed, so the answer for the Ukrainian is always how many missile and plane that system intercepted before it got destroyed or it's no longer useful. That is a strategic value of a given system.

This is how or why Patriot is effective, the US have significant RF/EW system in the area, everytime Russia launch something the US would know almost immediately and start tracking those and then pass those info to the Ukrainian. \

I am not surprised if the Ukrainian and NATO have a HQ somewhere in NATO nation and run the war from there. A lot of those intelligence asset is too hot to deploy in an active warzone.

Kinzhal is not expensive. It is air launched version of Iskander. Because it is air launched it is better range and speed than Iskander. It is mass produced the way V-2 was mass produced in WW2.
