Well we can recall our citizens but there is the potential of a mad sectarian and ethnic war in bordering areas of Pakistan-Iran if war does break out as you have to remember the area that borders Pakistan is Sunni majority which even in the past had some sectarian issuesThis is simply a heads-up to Pakistan to minimize potential civilian casualties that their citizens might be suddenly caught in a warzone if they are over in Iran. It is suggested they not travel there in case things hit-the-fan so as to avoid a mad scramble to get out of the country.
that would not be possible even IF any of oil related infrastruc would be left in case of US-Iran war who would provide the logistic from Iran .....I think we should start importing cheap oil from Iran!
Agree, make no sense to close the border. Borders are not open anyway, people have to show papers, but illegal cross border happens everywhere in the world.it is an effort to politicize Pakistan effort to fence Pak-Iran border. Pakistan is already doing this from past some years, it was, it is and it will be in Pakistan's interest but now after this propaganda this project would come under sectarian propaganda.
I seriously doubt the authenticity of this news ....
Why do you think US will need our assistance???We should just ignore the any of the American Request in plain and simple words, No airspace, No Naval or Military bases on Pakistani soil, or any association with American war machinery ....
They are asking to stop movement across the border in case someone decides to join to shia brigade.Agree, make no sense to close the border. Borders are not open anyway, people have to show papers, but illegal cross border happens everywhere in the world.
Yeh bi theek HaiLol makes me want to say open the closed borders even. Iran is not an enemy of pakistan. And if irani people need help we will open our borders for them.
read the map .... and political crises bearing in the region ....Why do you think US will need our assistance???
Unlike Afghanistan, US has direct access to Iran. They have aircraft carriers and also fully fledged air bases in GCC.
Pakistan must not allow any country, especially the US to use its soil for attacks against Iran or any of its neighbors. Is this not the same US that just a few months ago gave tactic approval for Indian strikes inside Pakistan proper? And then called Kashmir an internal matter of India?
We will rue the day if we help any country in its aggressive designs against Iran. We need to keep building relationships with all our allies, instead of taking sides like we have in the past. Keep Arab allies close (unless they choose to distance themselves, that is their call), improve ties with Iran and other non-Arab Muslim countries, and of course keep steadily improving ties with Russia and China.
The government needs to come out and say with no uncertainty about its neutrality and stance on bringing countries to the table through diplomatic means instead of war.
If the US is allowed to topple the Iranian regime, its not the poor Muslim refugees that we need to worry about but the encirclement of Pakistan by the US!
and in the process would disturb the ethnic and religio-political balance of the country. We are such fools who have forget 1979 revolution and invasion of Afghanistan and effect of these events on Pakistan ....And if irani people need help we will open our borders for them.
Exactly .....If the US is allowed to topple the Iranian regime, its not the poor Muslim refugees that we need to worry about but the encirclement of Pakistan by the US!
