A U.S. - Iran confrontation gets flogged almost daily on another forum that I can think of. No one is denying Iranian patriotism and resolve, but the technological gap, especially in the air war, is large and deep. with the historic presence of usa military around iran is definitely a cause of concern of iranians. there is no precedence in history of such a massive military buildup. Iran is completely surrounded by hostile states. but surprisingly iranians are not demoralized. usa+israel are issuing regular threats to Iran and have done rehearsal of attack. usa is fully aware that iran's response will be proportional and destructive.

so it is natural that iran is ever preparing for its defence and telling their nation not to worry. Iran do not have bigger domestic issues that usa itself and it is one of the most stable nation in the region despite sanctions.

comparing old birds with new birds is illogical and it is against the defence doctrine of iran. you think iran will send its f4 to take on us f22 or f18 in indian ocean? Iran has other better options.

If usa send its planes to attack iran then iran too has multiple defence layers that will ensure to knock down most of the usa birds and missiles.

usa+allies do not have capabilites to confront shower of iranian missiles. Otherwise usa+allies would have attacked IRAN a long time ago. usa is unable to bend iran despite every effort, then who else can?

There is no point denying the fact that USA has technical superiority by a big margin over Iran.
But then war comes with a cost,and US will be very much hard pushed to afford that in yet another front.The economy of Iran is not that weak as it was with Iraq,Afghanistan or Libya.I dont see any reason for which USA should go to war with Iran.In fact,US should act more matured stop making childish moves like branding Iran a part of "Axis of Evil".

We are trying very hard to prevent a full scale war with Iran.

We understand the consequences it will bring to us and our allies... However this planet has no room for evil nations like Iran. Nation building should be a breeze with Iran... With the millions protesting for freedom.

it is not only press tv and nothing from ahmadinejad in the news. all iranian channels telling the same thing. presstv is one of the english channel. it is only publishing news in english while other iranian media publish in persian, kurdish, arabic, turkic and udru. it is natural that the western media is not obliged to quote a military commander of its enemy country. so this hype against presstv is baseless and without any grounds.

there had almost been daily severe threats given to iran during the nuclear negotiations and later on. iranian warnings are only a reply to the threats they receive. never ever from their own side they issue any warning.

secondly, usa+allies are proven dumb and not genious, right from shah of iran, to saddam to other regional puppies. invasion of iraq and afghanistan was to contain and threaten iran but that proved to be too costly and a failed policy. threats from israel and usa are not effective and could not work against iran. The only little success they made is sowing the seed of a new talibanic terrorist religion but that too is temporary and will fade away if there is no usa in the region.

now what the usa decides, only time will reveal but currently it is busy in equipping its puppies just like once saddam was equipped. usa is not after good realtions with iran and it has to decide something new as all of its earlier policies and steps failed to bend iran.

this is a bluff by opponents that ahmadinejad claim that it is someone is only stealing iran's rain. see the video again and talk reasonable and sensable please!
