be part of one country as then it would have the perfect balance of population, ethnic cohesion and

Okay, for a moment let's forget 1947 and events leading to it, what about the post 1947 period? How Hindu Bengalis reduced to a single digit in terms of percentage from a healthy 1/3rd of the population in roughly two generations? That too in a so called nation of Bengalis?

@ You people always talk about Hindu migration from East to West Bengal. But what about Muslim migration from West Bengal, Tripura, Assam and specially the bulk Biharee muslims from Bihar. Are you still planning to re-repatriate to East Bengal ?

Those fanatics will create havoc on the minority Hindu community, most likely with the state's support, while the majority 'non-fanatics' will be silent spectators, probably with a carefully hidden desire to create a pure state, and greed to gobble up the properties of uprooted minority community, all over again.

3. Violence on this side was comparatively much less than the East Pakistani side, Gandhi took care of it.

4. Many Muslims could come back later, Hindus were not that fortunate.

5. It was the Muslims who demanded a separate homeland, not Hindus.

6. The violence and bloodshed leading to the partition was started by a state sponsored riot under Suhrawarthy.

7. We didn't have a 1971 targeted genocide, Bangladeshi razakars were very much involved in that.

8. Muslims are not leaving India, can't say the same for the rapidly vanishing Hindu population of Bangladesh.

On the contrary BD is always meant to merge with India forming the erstwhile undivided Bengal once again in the near future.The only thing is that before this merger we will ensure that RSS does a full fledged "Ghar Wapsi" on your people.I don't care what internet Jamaatis think,this is what's going to happen in the near future!!

@ How many Hindus migrated to India in 1946/1947 ? So far I know, it is some thing like 35 to 50 lacs. Well in 1965 and in 1971 some more migrated to India. I don not know the exact figure ? Now, how many muslims came to East Pakistan. So far I know around 22 to 24 lacs of Biharees along came from Bihar, West Bengal and Assam. This does not include the Bengali muslims. Around 20 to 30 lacs of Bengali muslims came from West Bengal and Assam in 3 phases, in 1947, in 1950 and again in probably in 1952/53.

@ You people are talking about "Enemy Property" "Vested Property" in East Pakistan and then Bangladesh. What about properties of Bengal and Biharee muslims in India ?

Keep having very little say in the running of India and remain poorer
than be being part of BD.

BD currently has a GDP/capita in excess of 1300 US dollars and West Bengal is slightly below 1200 US dollars. Remember that only 5 years ago, West Bengal was comfortably ahead of BD - by as much as 50%.
