Sorta goes every way... Each has their PoV.. each has their truths..
Denial then becomes relative..
Only the middle ground may show who is in denial... but there is one dead trooper on this side and two on the other with alleged mutilation..
So denial will be widespread.. along with emotionally fueled ignorance.

And for that reason, I suggest this thread be closed now. There is nothing more to be said at this stage, unless something new comes up. Indians will keep blaming Pakistanis, and vice versa. Other than this repeated tu-tu-main-main, this thread can serve no more purpose. Nobody is in any position to determine the truth of either side's claim. All we can say for sure is that there is one dead and one seriously injured jawan in pak, and two dead ones in India. Let everybody believe what they want to believe.

We need peace. Pakistan is not in any position to go to war and hopefully saner minds will prevail. It would be the decent thing to do and sue for peace possibly on the lnes of Chenab formula. I suspect Delhi is bullish that it can win and retain IHJ&K.

As for the beheading allegations it is strange an army unit will fire and kill 2 jawans, injure 2 and allow them to retreat because they are busy mutilating the dead? I suspect misinformation and it is telling that int media has not reported the beheading.

it was pakistani propaganda which they think was a lie. SO only truth is PA intruded and beheaded their soldier and return without causality despite High alert at border due to 3 days back incident.

well propaganda is not reality so it's time they ask the same questions that we're asking; PA had no reason to just waste bullets and resort to firing ---on EITHER occasion --until they positions were fired upon

well this is the same media that was reporting stories of false encounters in Kashmir valley ---militants who in actuality were mere civilians

It will increase more protest against Congress if they don't take action. As far as West is concerned, we do business with them in billions. They will listen to what we say. They did in case of 26/11. Let the time take its course and propaganda to built.

Basically PA soldiers moved 400 meters into their territory Kashmir killing 2 illegal occupying soldiers from India. Kashmir belongs to Pakistan and PA has full freedom to cross LoC as it pleases after all its Pakistan's territory.

Yes he was afraid PA troops would attack infiltrating soldiers... Understandable fear.

Let me put some points forward considering recent events.

1. Growing anger against Pakistan Army - US drone attacks, ANA shelling across the borders and recent report on missing people and human rights violation have attracted many people and especially media, which is regularly bashing Pakistan Army. OBL was also one of the biggest blow to capability of Pakistan Army in eyes of people of Pakistan. Pakistan Army needs people's support.

2. TTP factor - TTP got created when Pakistan supported WoT. Now they have shown their capabilities in strike at heart of Pakistan, regular bombing, kidnapping and beheading soldiers and attacks on military bases. The recent declaration by TTP saying that they will fight against India gives Pakistan Army a chance to have back channel talks with TTP.

3. Post 2014 Scenario - We all know many factions in Afghanistan who are fighting NATO forces will get back at Pakistan after NATO withdrawal as Pakistan was ally of NATO in WoT. This will lead to mushroom growth of anti-Pakistan elements which may turn out more dangerous than TTP and BLA. This is the last thing Pakistan wants know as it will lead to decade long insurgencies.
Pakistan has to show same approach to Afghan Taliban and anti-India factions as India is increasing it influence in Afghanistan and is pro-Karzai, to kick out India from their western borders.
Pakistan needs to channel these Taliban forces against India rather than they attacking Pakistan.


There are other factors too. Pakistan Army needs public support more than ever.

This would not have happened if they were in Kashmir. What are Indian soldiers doing in Kashmir? They should go back to India, by occupying Kashmir they have made themselves targets, so the blame is on them for this situation. Their occupying and entry into Kashmir served as a provocation.

Yeah we got success in Kargil because Congress would have caved under pressure.

BJP is quite better in handling this. Gone were the days when Congress under leadership of Indira Gandhi had some spine.
