I am almost sure that TF-X will use F110-GE-129 engines which has a thrust of 290000lbf. That is a perfect thrust rate which is satisfying the requirements of Turkish Air Force (27000+lbf).
Hürjet-C fighter: GE F404 (17000lbf)
TF-X fighter: GE F110(29000lbf)
If GE F110 is the engine for prototype, then TF-X will be a "heavy" fighter like F-22 and so the thrust of whatever final engine is installed will be in the range of 35-40,000 lbs. This would rule out a derivate of Roll Royce's EJ-2000 engine as that is an engine designed for "medium" size fighters.
China, Russia, Britain, Germany, France, America are the only 6 countries that build fighter jets with 100% domestic components. These 6 countries are the 6 super powers in the world. Rest countries can't build jet engine for fighter jets.

no one of them build everything by themselves and 100%.. maybe some of them are forced to do more work on their own but others realized itds idiotic and costs too much to make it 100% alone so they split the costs when it comes to such projects..
not Germany
They can if they want. These 6 countries have the best military technology in the world.
but they dont because of certain reasons you dont have to but you should aquire such technology its a matter of time and recources its faster to cooperate with others
