Recently there was an article how Turkey is competing from Saudi Arabia to take the role of leading global exporter of Islam and builder of Mosques/Islamic institutions.

Turkish Islam is traditional and conservative, but not the extremely puritanical type as that of Saudi Arabia.

Good for Vietnam I guess....that's Turkey build this mosque and not Saudi Arabia

not spreading Islam into Vietnam, because it is already there since centuries, but rather to give our ethnic minorities mainly the Cham people a place to follow their belief. the last thing we want is intolerance, radicalism and terrorism.
