Turkish Peace Operations in Syria (Operation Olive Branch) Updates & Discussions

Livemap doesnt gives such news? Its still shows Qabasin under isis control. And whole thing was like a joke. Repeatedly losing it... Arent there Turkish specialist to instruct them how to take proper defensive positions?

Recaptured this morning , Isil are fighting hard for Qabasin to keep forces away from Al-BaB and Bazah towns .
The past 2 days intensive Turkish Artillery and Tank bombardment lead to Isil withdrawing today .

. . .
I mean we must have specialist in there to show those FSA forces to ''hold'' the zone right? What is this? They can't even hold it how we are going to take Al-Bab?

When you are done being a Armchair General remember that the OP is personally run by the head of the Special Forces. If the objective is Al Bab then Al Bab will be taken. Simple as that

You have millions of refugees. Find some to fight and hold captured cities/villages. They just need weapons and some training.

I would love that you know. While our soldiers die they swim in Turkey. They are like parasites.

No, they are not parasites. They are refugees, but understand what you are talking about. Where is the problem to find some hundred/thousand people, who wants to fight? Btw, there only job will to hold the villages which where captured by FSA/TSK before.

The refugees are the refugees. They've given birth to 60000 child this year. They don't sound like refugee to me. They can go to universities without exam, they can be a civil servant without exam. They can open restaurants, cafes, shops, markets without taxes. They can take medical treatment primarily. We, the Turks, are the real refugees in this country of ours.

erdogan made them refugees by pouring in arms to Syria and pulling the blind eye to all those Jihadi recruits

Turkey isn't small, they can handle it. Look at the size of Lebanon, they're hosting millions of Syrians.

Understood.

Back to topic, why is it so hard to find recruits?

The main focus is on recruiting Turkmen Syrians not Sunni Arabs .
Groups allied to Turkey have recently increased their ranks such as Nour Din Al Zanki and Sultan Murad . Groups close to Turkey have today between 10,000 - 15,000 fighters .

Most of the villages and towns liberated are actually Turkmen majority .

Syrians don't have any ideology into "being a Nation". They created a century ago out of nowhere, they were in the same country with Egpyt, Iraq and Syria. First, Egypt left, then Iraq left and lost Hatay to Turkish Republic meanwhile their education quality kept low with bad economy.

As a result, they dont have any big "will to die" for a nation that they dont believe. They are much like a group of people trying to survive at any cost.

You think they have the luxury to separate, who may and who may not to fight?

Maybe. But they could fight for their homeland.
