Turkish Peace Operations in Syria (Operation Olive Branch) Updates & Discussions

You say Erdogan was humiliated in Moscow here is your answer

Some people here hate erdogan and Turkey sooo much that they drop any form of reason or honesty which is a shame really

A leader who waits a couple of minutes before a meeting is not a big deal and can happen to anyone just because russian media wanted to use it as a humiliation against erdogan and attack him especially as turkey humiliated russia by destroying its air defenses the real problem is the fact some idiots here immediately fell for it just because they hate erdogan they are willing to support the Russian point of view which is ridiculous

What relation does any of this have to do with Syria?

We lost dozens of troops in Idlib for zero gain. Despite all of our drone tech and our superior forces we were strategically defeated due to mr 4D chess. For the first time in this nation's history we lost a battle... due to sitting at the table instead of letting the army do it's thing.

Keep licking Tayyip's feet instead of caring about things that actually matter.

We could have easily wiped the floor in northern Syria. But no. Someone keeps agreeing to ceasefires.

Again with you

We didn't lose

Look if you think fighting Hizbollah , Iran , PKK, YPG and Assad regime all at once with russian weapons supplied to them and no air cover beyond drones is the win in this scenario then you are an idiot

Turkey goals in Idlib are :

1) stop Assad attack and protect Idlib city
2) stop migration flow
3) protect 3 million civilians in Idlib

That is it and all the above is successfully achieved

Yes territory was lost but the main objectives were achieved ( besides most territory lost was under HTS control )

1) Idlib city safe and under rebel control
2) 3 million people are safe
3) Assad stopped

All goals completed

Again with the excuses. Why the hell did we put our soldiers in harm's way just to protect people who aren't our own. Enough with this ummah crap. 50 Turkish soldiers died for nothing. Assad will continue bombing the area and it will continue to be a hotbed for extremists.

We have the capability to fully avenge the deaths of our soldiers and capture a large area in the north. But no. We just strike back and gain nothing.

Erdoğan's stupid mistakes led to all off this. Now stop defending him and start using your brain.

Nothing is achieved as long as Time isn't a witness.
And right now... things on the ground aren't in our favor.

That's the problem with TR PR... bottom retards... I'm sorry but the team in charge is from some sort of cave hole...
And that's not only from that op... EVERY single move where PR should have been used... end up not happening...
Still PR job got better since few years... but still far from "good enough"...

When the US/RU make a move they don't give a sh*t about your sentiment... They publish all of it h24 with EXTRA proof... and will even play with that knife in an open wound... just that you will not forget... The most recent one is RU footage of Erdogan meeting in Moscow...

TR is waiting someone to "speak" to answer... like those footage coming only when there is a "polemic"... FFS this isn't a game of whatever their ego is hurt or not... CRUSH THEIR EGO from day 1...
It's like we've got a cub instead of a Wolf...

Has the Op on SDF areas begun? I am sure Erdo sold Idlib for the buffer zone along the Tr border. It's just a matter of time.

Too much bragging could backfire too. So take that gloating right and desktop pride and stuff it. Losing face or losing your cool ends up too costly. War is essentially costly the more cost your enemy incures the better we are off.

You have point but i think it’s better this way releasing piece by piece video that will cause much bigger damage to russian defense industry
The more they deny the more they are embarrassed in front of world when Turkey shows footage

Unfortunately, RU have the upper end in the war of image.
Yes, Recent TR op did damage it and RU will feel it in the future.
But still... It gives them time to build their "rhetoric"/"lies" till Truth is diluted enough that "doubt" become the "New-Normal".
What is sure, is that TR still "Feel" not ready to "push" RU... and that's the main "Issue" in this event. Be it IRL (battlefield) or in the Virtual one (Media/Internet/Social media etc...).
I mean... they literally Tried to push Doubt on "Hatay"... Try to do the same with the Caucasus... and you will see their answers...

Realpolitik is nasty and never nice. The Idlib agreement made in Moscow was one example of this.

That being said, it may work in Turkey's favour for the long run. The problem for the Turkish government was that NATO countries were not willing to provide military support over the Idlib crisis. In fact Turkey to many western countries were seen to lack any legitimacy for their military to be there. However a delegation of top Turkish politicians including the President himself going to Moscow to negotiate a ceasefire over Idlib might just change that and shows the outside world that A) Turkish Military in Idlib are a force for ensuring a lasting peace and B) Turkey is the side that pushed and compromised the most for a ceasefire (which included their president, foreign minister, defence and intelligence chiefs heading off to Moscow)

So If a ceasefire is broken somewhere down the line (and it probably will) Western NATO countries can no longer turn a blind eye to Russia blatantly violating an agreement that Turkey made with them. Turkey will have a credible cassus belli in Western opinion to respond to new Russian aggression and NATO will have to support a type of no fly zone over Idlib or forever be known as a failed organisation which has no legs to stand on.
