Turkish Peace Operations in Syria (Operation Olive Branch) Updates & Discussions

I wonder if the freeze in progress against ISIS near Deir Ezzor for the past year has been YPG dragging its feet knowing that once they finish the job they will be thrown to the sharks (Turkey). If US realises this, they might have an agreement with Turkey where, when YPG cries and retreats from DeZ due to a Turkish assault, Turkey provides rebel forces to replace the YPG there to do what the YPG refused to and finish the job.

Yeah, its a good assumption. Also they were major problems between YPG and Arab units in that region with YPG refusing to give them real command posts, every arab 'commander' has his PKK overlord and such. Some arab units practicly defected, or refused to be part of such system in Deir... Problems in Raqqa, with YPG racism and arrest campaign against former FSA... If Turky would enter that provice with 3k of soldiers it would gain 1000s on arrivel.. almost all these arab and former FSA would join them. In Manjib too, we had in recent weeks practicly every tribe there denauncing YPG and their forced recrutiment, and cqalling Turkey to intervine

And TFSA in it ranks have already multiple brigades from those provinces, some of them took part in Euphrates shield Afrin opp. Speaking about Afrin opp, that too was cleared with the US. Just rememeber the reactions, 'we are deeply conserned' meaning go on Turkey.

Turkey sends reinforcements and removes border walls in Ras-al-Ayn.

4th one, fortunetly dismantled

hours after Erdogan anouncment of new opp. No doubt relatad and coordinared between YPG and the regime considering locations and recent scirmishes on that front, where regime would shell areas and YPG tried to inflitrite them. Also regime doesnt want Turkey and FSA influence expanding east.
