Turkey's aim should be to become the "Germany" of the east Mediterranean.

The only True option from Turkish perspective is to achieve permanent peace in shortest period of time.

Option # 1: Incorporate Syrian areas along the Turkish border and push a 100km buffer zone within Syria. (Short term cost in treasure, lives and pressure from the empire)

Option # 2: Clear the area and make it hospitable for the Syrians in Turkey... help them return. Provide security. (same cost as 1 but more long term headache)

Option # 3: Look for a clear victory. Retreat. (Low cost in short term but permanent threat for decades to come)

Turkey has the means and will to achieve all of these options. Unlike Pak.

If Pak had national interests in mind then Pak would have direct border with Tajikstan and buffer zone till Kabul.

Turks must realise that if they wish to become a true regional power then their Time is Now.
When the window of opportunity closes... Turkey would be boxed again.

A true sovereign state acts as Sovereign.

Pak must help Turkey in any way possible. Syria is NOT in Pak's Strategic Interests. Turkey is!

Avoiding loss of innocent lives is the best policy...both in short and long term. Elimating terrorists and sponsoring network is peramount.

Next hit is going to be on Turkish economy.

Anyway EU belongs to Germany. Greeks say Germany made by EU what he couldnt do at WW2 because all ports, ways, etc now handled by Germans because of their depts to EU and Germans.

Somalia was never part of the Ottoman Empire.

Have turkish govt/rmy proposed a timeline for taking over Afrin yet? What does our Turkish brothers think, who have been following the campaign closely

Women...

Kids...

The order and law in the world is what the terrorism tries to destroy. In the ''order'' created by another terrorist organisation The PKK/YPG above, who is the civilian and terrorist by the law?

Another child ''soldier'' of PKK-affiliated USA ally YPG/SDF terrorists.

Government says operation will last till the last terrorist in Afrin. Meaning, there is no time limit and we don't need to haste as it would only increase casualties.

Turkey should simply annex these part of Syria, it is in their national interest, if they withdraw these ugly rats will emerge once again, causing terrorism and attempted sectarianism.Kudos Sir

Exactly. We are right beside them so we have the luxury to take it slow. They are just not going anywhere. That allows us to run a small budget for this operation which is very important.

Well you can always search for another buffer zone...beyond the annexed land...
And no more YPG influence after 50-60km from TR border... since down south of Syria..; they are Arabs... no more Kurds, therfore no more YPG influence...
And all those militaristic anarchist nationalist communist Kurds will now be in our country as new Turkish Citizens? o_O
