Turkish Peace Operations in Syria (Operation Olive Branch) Updates & Discussions

Live map updated. Its looks like Harbul and Umm Housh is not taken?

If so the operation is not really successfull. Days of fighting and constant shelling and all they could get is some farms at north of Hasakiyah? Turkish spec ops should be involved more.

Sham front fighting YPG, getting their revenge for Menagh :-)

American's support it, didn't they know?

"Turkey-backed rebels on Friday attacked positions held by the pro-Kurdish Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in Tal Rafaat District. The Syrian terror organization "Kurdish Democratic Union Party (PYD)" accused American officers of cooperating in the incursion.

“Sources confirmed that the Turkey-backed attacks on SDF positions today were supported by American officers,” the PYD said in a statement on Friday. "

We should fiercely encourage able bodied refugees to get training and join euphrates shield under Turkish supervision. FSA simply doesn't have enough men and massess of Turkish soldiers in Syria will have a lot of negative effects. Operation continued so far only because there wasn't enough resistance. Now we see even a puny resistance like this can be a pain in the ***. This whole operation cannot go on depending on a few thousand militias(or a few hundred, I'm not sure). More the land stretches, harder it will become to control those lands.

Such training camps already exist.

Im not sure about punny. Tal Rifaat as important to PKK as Manbij is for exmpl. Dislodging determinated enemy from well dug up and fortified position isnt easy.
