Turkish Peace Operations in Syria (Operation Olive Branch) Updates & Discussions

The hell will brake lose over Idlib. Mark my words. Now there is not any reason putting our soldiers in front of the bullets in Idlib. Now the cowards will have to face the consequences of their choices. This thing will end like Aleppo, Duma and Ghuta.
Duma and Ghouta were enclaves... far from any Turkish border or any External help...
They were bombarded day and night whatever under FSA or not...

HTS ruling Idlib will not change much to TR observation points... since Border crossing was Already under HTS rule.
Meaning TR passed via HTS lands...

FSA related groups were overpowered since a long time in Idlib... That's mostly why they sided more with Turkey in thepast, in hope to get that power balance... But after the "Idlib buffer zone" most of those FSA Equipements were taken out or transfered to the Northen side.

TR past Mobilization in Afrin or ongoing one in East Euphrate pushed those small Fsa related groups to lose influence and manpower... and let a growing void in Idlib... that resulted in HTS taking over what was left...

HTS isn't FSA enemies... never was, ASSad is the core enemy. Many of current or Past HTS fighters/groups were in the past among FSA and vice versa... it was like that for few years already... When power shift... allegiance shift.

As many wish to believe it... HTS isn't TR enemies, they may have core ideological differences... but they aren't enemies...no need to put them on the same level as PKK... creating enemies for the sake of it, will not give answers to the current situation.

As for he "People will pay thingy" just take a sec... and just try to understand if the population has the mean/power to go against armed groups? the answer is simple..NO they don't.

It seems there is this fantasy image going around with Syrians...as if any soul "Shall" fight with whatever he/she has in hand...even bare hand is ok... and die for it...

And last... Whatever Idlib is under HTS FSA or even TR... ASSAd and even RU said it... "We will have it all one way or another"

They will have it all. Turkish troops are endangered. When Assad bombs HTS all around Idlib Turkish troops are standing in front of them. The forces must be evacuated because the end is imminent. HTS is enemy and terrorist organization like any other.

Core ideological differences. I don't know what to say... Allahu Akbar maybe?

You know what will happen if Assad and Russia attack right? 2 million more refugees to Turkey

The surroundings of TR observation points were targeted since... Day 1 of their construction... or did you forgot about SAA shelling to counter their comings? or do you forgot about early TR retaliation near Aleppo points?

TR is TR... targeting them in the hope to kill... will (I hope) be answered by TR directly.

That's the thing with many people...who think HTS is different from FSA... and vice versa... Many don't even know that core leaders in both side switched sides many times... HTS in itself isn't the "radical" core... but the few "Islamist" groups that you can find in the southern border of Idlib, the Turkestan Islamic group or the Uzbekistan ones...

HTS is an umbrella like FSA... an in each they have the "Islamic side"... like Ahrar al sham per exemple for FSA...
It' snot black and White... even less at this stage of the conflict.

HTS isn't a TR direct enemy... since the "Only" core of dispute btw the two is trivial... HTS critics of TR is that she use Syrians for her own agenda/buffer zone and don't care to support a fight against ASSad... And to this day... HTS rhetoric is wht push groups to join them by saying "Look, I was right... They use you for themselves and when you need her, she isn't here to help."

I am not the guilty here. Ask that question to the high ranked commanders, politicians and the chief of intelligence. If I was in charge I would never allow organization like HTS to exist in Idlib. The same city which my future strategic plans for Syria and the Syrians there are based on. The center of the resistance.

WOW!
You trying to fool us with: HTS isn't Turkey's enemy, HTS isn't FSA's enemy...
HTS calls TSK infidel Army! HTS excuted captured FSA fighters!
Both Turkey and FSA are their listed enemies.

There is no difference between PKK and HTS both are Terrorists who threat Turkey's security.

Stop playing down HTS and their fucked up WAHABI ideology!

Your logic is sick. What means that HTS is not our enemy? HTS is screwing all the progress that was made. What more we can do? We prevented one of the biggest humanitarian catastrophes in our times. Thanks to us there are still people from other regions that will be able to explain to their grandsons how they got out trough Turkish sponsored humanitarian corridors and the only thing they had to eat is made by smuggled products from Turkey. What more we can do for them? Ungrateful people.

If that is the case I call them to joint HTS all. They will save us from all the negatives of the good we have done for them. Now the people are living peaceful in Aleppo.

The Russians and Assad will bomb them to hell, more children will die and they will wash their hands with HTS. That is what will happen. Then the ones which are out of the war zone thanks to again Turkish corridors will learn to live under Assad regime. Who knows maybe that is the plan. I can tell something for sure. Idlib will not be the next terrorist sh!thole. Idlib will rise again.

No they aren't direct enemies... they are in oppositions... not enemies...
FSA enemies and HTS enemies are the same ASSad and affiliate.

HTS isn't TR enemies, neither of them are basing their ideology/strategy to kill one of the other... they do work to weaken the infleunce of each others on other groups but that's it.
HTs need TR for her daily needs and TR also need HTS for Idlib strategy.

FSA related groups in Idlib WERE NEVER similar to what we have in the North like Hamza brigade per exemple...they were pro-ish Turkey for counter balance in Idlib... and they never got the intended support that they wished like HEavy armors/equipment to counter HTS raw power.
Don't mix Idlib with Afrin/Al bab... there is a totally different power struggle btw the 2 sides.

Many here seems to forget... who was supporting with manpower the "First TR op"... in Jerablus against ISIS...

I don't care about Wahabi or not or whatever one ideology is better than the other..;I'm only stating what is being commonly know in this conflict. This isn't an emotional show, where when something you don't like shall be demonized... you have to understand it's dynamic to understand where it's coming from and where it could end up.

I'm not saying HTS is an angel... far from it... Neither that Direct confrontation btw TR and HTS could happen... All of it could happen... But it isn't the subject here... neither Me , you or Commanders/Analyst can predict the out come... the only reference is what happened int he past with the US and radical groups... but TR isn't the US... the US dynamic at play is different from TR dynamic...

Arab natinalism was response to the rise of natinalistic movements in ottoman empire and europe. Also before the arab revollt the were many revolts like in egypt under muhammad ali, the kurds under rowandozi al muntafiq in southern iraq and in bosnia and albania against the mistreatment of the ottomans specially their taxes, soldier drafting policies and centraliziation of power

Muhammed Ali Pasha was a Turk not an Egyptian or an Albanian. And he did not rebel because of mistreatment but rebelled due to power he wanted to take control of the Ottoman Empire.

Muhammed Ali Pashas rebellion is not an Arab revolt.

A lot of these revolts are due to internal and external factors along with the Secularising of the Ottoman Empire with the Tanziminat reforms which pissed off a lot of Muslim and Christian fanatics.

You can have an opposition without being enemies on the ground.
And the Question isn't what TR did to Syrian pop, that is a no brainer, No one is refuting it...not even HTS or radical groups.
If the Syrians were ungrateful to TR... You will have an army in your country and in Afrin/Idlib/Al bab already fighting TR...

Mixing Civilians with Armed groups is a dangerous thing to do... a very dangerous thing...

As for ASSad/RU moves, they will mostly push to enter Idlib, it's possible. But I don't think TR will let it happen.

HTS isn't a TR direct enemy.

Any organisation and terrorist group with a Salafist ideology is a direct threat to Turkey. Maybe for you Arabs it’s nice, there ummayad pan Arab style islam but for us Turks, we are considered Yagog and Magog for them, people with flat faces and round shields, people with horse tail banners, you can find this view among every Salafist. Isis (not far off from HTS) ideology thought Dabiq would be the war to end all wars, I’m sure core HTS thinks they will invade Istanbul “Constantiniya” a second time. That’s the ideological side.

Part on the ground is this group is open to meddling by Assad, Saudi, UAE etc

Salafist -and Khawarji are 2 different things...
Khalifas were Salafi same for Sultans... Salafi is the core practice in Islam/ root.

A Khawarji is what we had with ISIS or other groups/people in the Entire Islamic history... The one who will Takfir the Best of Muslims... The ones who will stink Arrogance/Hypocrisy while being the Moralist...

And no... They don't wish to invade "Istanbul"... since it's under Muslims since then...

Spoken like a true Salafist, please don’t try to fool us here. We know the difference between traditional Islam and that of Salafism who we consider (khawarij) by the way.

Isis ideology is Salafist, don’t try to manipulate people here (us Turks) this isn’t UAE funded Islam tv lol

Let’s not get into a religious debate call a duck as it is.

You can believe whatever you wish.
But one thing is sure... if you said that in the face of such previous rulers... you will have a short life.

A Truthful Salafi is a Muslim... a Khawarji isn't one.
