Nobody said it's delayed for "months". Stop spreading crap. He said they would delay it while US pulls out of Syria, which will take no more than 30 days.

This is the smart move - the only card SDF has to play is the ISIS card, and that will be dealt with as part of the start of the operation.

Nope . This is not a smart move because by the time US troops leave the country Assad will probably move on SDF controlled positions. A lot can happen in 30 days. If they retreat in 30 days.

2. No the US will likely remain for more than 30 days. Trump said 30, but Pentagon estimates that they need 60-100 days.
3. It is a stupid move. If he waits until the Americans are gone, then YPG will strike a deal with Russia/Assad, which in hours will deploy soldiers to the Turkish border i.e. Game over Turkey, now you can have YPG at your border for the next many decades.

Do you actually believe operation planners didn't think of this, the most obvious of things? Assad wants DeZ oil fields. If YPG gives them to him, then that's great - Assad has to fight ISIS for it. If not, either Turkey will make a deal with Assad for a combined attack on ISIS and YPG, or will let Assad do the work. It doesn't matter because this area is south of Turkey's area of operations. The only important part is that SDF is deprived of their ISIS card.

It seems that all of the Eastern Euphrates will be cleaned including ISIS pockets (Deir Ezzor area) if Assad don't do it first.

I told you he would have to call it off or change his approach. US pullout is going to affect the operation. However, there are diplomatic means to what Turkey wants to achieve. Kurds aren't in an good position though as far as controlling territory but they can be like how they are in Iraq.

Every minute is a loss,Assad getting closer to UAE/KSA every day,the YPG close to striking a deal with Assad which would mean that Trump made a ''Master'' move,he will use the GCC to protect the YPG and hit my country.
Im sure the 3 months departure time was demanded by the US from Erdogan.
In this timeframe,the KSA/UAE and Israel/US will have made a deal with Assad and the YPG,which means we are out and Russia will follow.
That is the only reason why the French are staying.
