We have 8 Gabya class, they are used as AAW frigate. Four of them are modernized and are not bad at all. But they are 50 years old and we will have to replace them. If we want to be a bleu water navy we will need 8 TF-2000. Sooner ore later we have to have it.

They definitely will order 8 Tf-2000 destroyers. Induction will be 2030 - 2040. The old frigates will be slowly replaced by the Istanbul class frigates, plus Ada class corvettes. Turkey is on the right path.

They will be produced in 3 different shipyards and delivered at the same time 36 months later.

TCG Istanbul (F 515) and these three will be part of the task force that will accompany flagship TCG Anadolu (L 400)

glad to hear simultaneous construction of the I-Class, because the Ada Class really took too long almost 15 years from start to finish
