Turkish drone carrier will be in service soon ..
Lol There's no way we can afford that many. If we can get 4 that will be great. 3 is more probable.8 TF2000-class destroyers will indeed be game changer,

TCG Anadolu's sister ship TCG Trakya probably won't be built either. These are incredibly expensive ships.
I just want the Kılıç class FACs to be upgraded. Much, much better use of money. AND I want some MPACs

I dont agree
LHD is not expensive its the technical ability to build one which few have
Turkey now has that ability so more can come
DDG is way more expensive but the more you build the cheaper they become
not only that the design cost is the spread over more units its more economical to actually keep building like the Chinese Type 054A programme
its like the Aussies who built only 3 x DDG and they wanted to build more parliament said no later turned out to be the worst decision they ever made
so defiantly I see Turkey expanding its naval fleet
it's not just the initial investment, it's the amount of operational costs that matter. Not just the whole Marine battalion stationed on board and air units. We have to create a fleet of ships to protect a LHD. It is extremely costly. You're a fool to say that "it's not expensive"
And in all honesty, Somalia and Sudan means fuckall to Turkey in the grand scheme of things.

I'm sorry to have offended you but it's the truth. What you were saying was evidently foolish.you have terrible language calling people fools when they indicated different opinion and even more name calling
fine example of a loser fanboy who's ego has been butt hurt because of someones else view
and even better example of a brown nose who is always looking to please his white master keep brown nosing Israeli - Hindu lover you are a fine example of a brown noser
Even if we have the strongest defence industry in the world and everything was %100 Turkish, we can't ignore the burden we're placing on the taxpayer especially in a time of such economic turmoil.
(The graphic is old, there is a more up-to-date one, but I couldn't find it. For example, the close air defense system will also be indigenous. The ship is planned to have completely domestic production except for the propulsion system, which is one of the factors that add strategic value to the project)
It is not only the production cost of the ships that is low. At the same time, this entire production cost coming from local labor costs and locally produced subsystems.
In other words, for example, 90% of the serial production cost of 500-550 million dollars goes to about 7-8 main contractor companies (mainly Aselsan, the contractor shipyard, and Roketsan in ammunition groups) and about 50 domestic suppliers. The money spent goes directly to local defense industry companies. In other words, the local defense industry is getting stronger and stronger.
Therefore, these cost calculations can never, ever be compared with off-the-shelf or direct end system buys from US,France etc procurement. Because there are incomparable side outcomes and advantages. One of the strategic goals of the Turkish economy is to create one of the strongest defense and aerospace sectors in the world. We can think of this as production-based funding instead of ready cash injection.
It is impossible for hostile countries to compete with this unless they have an equal industrial infrastructure.
