Turkish Naval Programs

which destroyers?

With 64 VLS and 16 Atmaca launchers, it will be the most well armed ship in NATO outside of US Navy, and only few countries develop their own weapon systems for those cells, France is the only other NATO country utilizing cruise missiles on its ships.

Kongo class 161m
Atago class 165m
Maya class 169m*
Sejong the Great class 166m
Arleigh Burke class 156m
Type 26 frigate (UK) 149m
Type 055 (China) 180m*

64 are actually enough but if you can why not more?

UK's new Type 26 will have 24 VLS only for cruise missiles.

Ships' maneuverability in different sea conditions , endurance and cruise characteristics are directly affected by superstructure volume , complement settlements and weapons load. And this affects the full length and displacement of the ship. All this design equation is also related to the doctrines of the navies and the conditions surrounding its seas.

I don't want to get into naval history. However, it was not that the largest ships providing the Ottoman navy hagamony in seven seas between the 15th and 18th centuries, but that the most accurate expanding strategies and ship designs. (both well trained mariners and technical capability) This was achieved by the creation of a large and successful organization in the production of ship materials (lets say today's subsystem and material technologies) and the construction of an enormous logistic chain, which was combined with the largest shipyards of the time. The Ottoman navy lagged behind in the transformation of steam navy and later as a result of delays and sabotages with internal struggle and political power intrigues: the disappearance of the modern and well doctrined navy also accelerated the state's drift into the abyss.

Korean destroyer , 166 m , 8500 tonnes
Japanese Kongo , 161 m 9500 tonnes
Arleigh Burke Flight III , 155m 9800 tonnes
Lenght is only one of the dimensions that has been spoken here, there is also depth and beam (beam is usually a fixed length).

And for TF-2000 the displayed model doesnt have the final form, yet, it is clear it wasnt well worked on especially on deck and there will be a newer and optimized design in future, it could be shorter, could have changed its deck plan but the design overally shows us that 64 (or +16 ) is decided (also how the bridge will be looking) ,and 16 launchers for SSM will be avaliable. Overally dimensions of the ship might be altered too, there hasnt been a complete study on hullform yet.

Finally, SSM missiles are quite primitive technologies (in terms of targeting) compared to ABMs and AA missiles. You can fire those from ships like İ-class or even missile boats.

length is not a good indicator of size, thats why tonnage is more commonly used to categorize the size of the ship
all those ships are at 10,000t category, and no Type 26 will get a TOTAL of 24 Mk41 cells, while TF will have a total of 64 Mk41 cells. Its highly unlikely, Type 26 will be carrying more than 12 Tomahawks, if even any at all. TFs on other hand can comfortably dedicate at least 24 cells for cruise missiles even for routine patrols.

If i look at TF-2000's model i can see a lot of unused space.... destroyers smaller than it carry much more weapons.

If possible , update(add , upgrade) middle 32 cells VSL into 48 Cell there is space available in middle and replace 2nd close-in-weapon system (Gun) right on top of heli with close-in short range missiles.
Rest every thing is supper great..

since the ship is still in design phase, they should add another 32 cells in the middle of body just right behind bridge. i find insufficient the VLS number

S.Korean Sejong the Great class Destroyer with 128 cells VLS

Length: 166 m
Beam: 21.4 m
Draft: 6.25 m

-- 80 cells VLS for SM-2 air defense missiles
-- 48 cells VLS for Hynmoo-III land attack Cruise Missile and K-ASROC Red Shark anti submarine missiles

also 21x RAM and 30 mm Goalkeeper CIWS for self defense
6 x Blue Shark torpedoes
16 x SSM-700K anti ship missiles

Turkish TF-2000 class Destroyer with 64 cells VLS

Length: 166 m
Beam: 21.5 m
Draft: 4.96 m

64 cells VLS for HISAR,SIPER,GEZGIN missiles
also 35mm KORKUT-D CIWS and high energy LASER for self defense
6 x ORKA torpedoes
16 x ATMACA anti ship missiles

VLS can already acommodate point defence systems like ESSM, in my opinion CIWS guns leaves a better option for self-protection there with their own separated radar.
After all its not a final design, yet it is not even a detail design but roughly showing the concept and what would TF2000 look like and carry what kind of weapons. The ship in the end will be shorter and deeper. (the fore part is unnecessarily long and has useless deck area, and volume space.

Çafrad is a best radar complex system of a west pact. Take a side a An/spy-3 alone , Çafrad is a ony radar complex wich have a all 3 diffrent radar system (volume search, horizon search, fire control radar) in a basis to aesa system and standalone not diffrent mechanics like others or dual band like usa ones.

On the other hand in idef 2019 aselsan engineers says not think it's a just only have ranges on brouchres.

GEZKIY / Real-Time IR Track Prediction & Management System

Passive threats against floating platforms make use of the infrared radiation. GEZKİY system helps the commanding officer of the platform to see the platform itself by the eyes of the potential threats and to manage the platform accordingly. The system consists of thermal sensors mounted on various places and weather and sea water heat, wind speed and other meteorological information gathered from the ship data distribution system and calculates the infrared profile of the platform with the KISY software. KIKTY software then shows the potential threat areas of the platform to the commanding officer. GEZKİY system is being used on Heybeliada and Buyukada ships, which are produced within the MILGEM program.

GEZKİY HARDWARE FEATURES

▪ Low and high temperature sensors
▪ Signal converters
▪ Connection boxes
▪ GVDS interface
▪ GEZKİY main panel
▪ Panel computer
▪ Ethernet key and power unit

KISY SOFTWARE FEATURES
▪ Platform radiation images at desired frequencies
▪ 3-5 micron and 8-12 micron bad selection capability
▪ Suggestions for profile reduction
▪ System start/stop and test capability
▪ Warning in case of system failure
▪ Over-radiation alarm

KIKTY SOFTWARE FEATURES
▪ Showing of threat zones on polar screen
▪ Adding/deleting of threat models
