Yaar, I completely forgot about that incident. Also an unfortunate incident in which a diplomat who is supposed to REPRESENT and bring GOOD REPUTE between nations acted out of line (and paid a lesson for it dearly)

Yemenis are idiots to say the least... egyptians.. nah... tunisians are fine people though..

I havent met many Yemenis but the ones i did meet (military and civvies) were very polite and welcoming people

Egyptians I feel close to. They are more tempermental than Pakistanis but I feel we share some common values with them. I spent some time in Cairo and got to know many. Nice people

Tunisians are REALLY chill people. Definitely want to go there.

None of these above countries have diplomats or people that go to other countries and behave like uncouth bastards. I think the Persian Gulf countries need training on diplomacy and who to assign diplomatic duties, because a Turkish F-16 pilot is injured in his own country because of some uncivilized and badly raised "diplomats"

I really hope Turkish Foreign Ministry teaches them a good lesson

They would be skinned alive.

Utter scum.

I have enjoyed my many trips to Turkey. These savages have no morals, beating a father in front of his young child.

It makes my blood boil, and I'm not even Turkish. We have close relations with the Turks and our Air Force is close with theirs. What affects them affects us too.

I say again - those "diplomats" are REAL lucky the locals did not know the gentleman was a fighter pilot of their country. Hiding in a bank while the man is injured on the street.

Our military is holy for us, foreighners wont get this, i mean its literally holy @Abu Zolfiqar lived in Turkey for many years he knows how we are, those diplomats was damn lucky that the pilot wasnt wearing uniform or they would be eating their food throught a tube right now.

I really wish the police let the crowds beat the shit out of him.

They deserve it

He won't escape the consequences. It's not a Pakistani officer or a Pakistani life we are talking about, are we? Life and dignity is cheap in Pakistan only, I guess!

This Arab will be taught a befitting lesson.

I know the Turkish psyche very well. Their media will play this day in and day out and the people will be pretty pissed off. They have a lot of respect for their military people including pilots.

I'm surprised the offenders managed to walk away because if Turks came to know about it, there would've been a riot and massacre.

Over a traffic incident a diplomat gets out of his official car and creates trouble in his host country? He deserves to have his *** kicked. Stuff like this can get you shot.

Well the previous govt. (cowardly as this one) released Raymond Davis after Pakistan got SCREWED OVER by Shariah Law due to "blood money" principles

I think the Turks are more sane and have more spine than we do, no doubt

I dont know about civilians dignity and life, but our military people take care of their own.

Its about using proper judgement when dispatching people to act as diplomats/dignitaries/representatives in foreign countries......choosing PROPER people, not uncultured hooligans

nothing to do with energy policy

the gulf arabs are always like that you know that, they are very racist to Pakistanis as well. They became rich very fast and act like that. Thats what people get for importing their energy and making them rich in the first place.

Kuwait Denies Embassy Staff Attacked Turkish Pilot

Kuwait has denied claims that embassy staff beat a Turkish air force pilot in a road rage incident in Ankara.

The country's ambassador to Turkey, Abdullah Al-Duwaikh, denied allegations that Major Hakan Karakus was attacked in front of his wife and baby.

The pilot, who had recently returned to Ankara from a NATO exercise, claimed he was taking his six-day-old infant to hospital to be vaccinated on Thursday when he was nearly involved in an accident with a Kuwaiti diplomat's car in an upmarket district of the capital. Four men got out of the Kuwaiti car and allegedly attacked him.

It is said that passersby had to intervene to prevent the officer, who was treated in hospital for his injuries, being more seriously hurt.

"It is opposite of what you heard," said Al-Duwaikh. "There were not four guys in the car, there were just our diplomat and his driver."

Al-Duwaikh said the Kuwaiti diplomat was going to the bank when Major Karakus blocked his car's path.

"The bank's security camera, security personnel and workers there are witnesses," the Kuwaiti ambassador said. "The pilot kicked the diplomat's car, there are pictures, so security told our diplomat not to leave the bank."

Al-Duwaikh also said the accused diplomat did not touch Major Karakus, accusing the flyer of involvement in blackmail. "We don't know who is behind him but we trust the law of this country and we trust our evidence," he added.

Turkish media reported that the pilot had filed a criminal complaint.
