Its blessing in disguise for Turkey if those sales are blocked. You never know, when they block it in future or its critical supplies. Your defense vendor must be a reliable one . You don't have to buy sanctions prone products.

Its 100% certain, even if Turkey is allowed F-16Vs, they will have a satellite linked kill circuit or atleast to degrade its performance parameters whenever Turkey engages with REAL US allies OR other NATO partners like Greece.

Integrate your own better BVR missiles with it if you have one----which you don't have any and will have nothing equal to chinese BVR PL15 for maybe 1/2 a decade---.

We could not integrate the s400s into the central network. We have a network-centric warfare doctrine that we have been building for years. We need to change all the software for Chinese and Russian planes. Not only this, all our domestic missiles need to be integrated. new infrastructure facilities... it is not worth it for Russian and Chinese planes.

All we have to do is to mend our relations with the USA and supply F110 and F404 engines.

We probably won't be able to buy Eurofighter and F16V.

At least Turkey must be clear, the moment it signs a contract with China for J-10C, no F-16 will be supported any more, no engines for Kaan ... the damage will bee even greater than after the F-35-disaster.

Political implications aside, it really is useless. No Link 16, no Link 22, can't fire ANY weapons we have, engine is a whole another can of worms.

It is as good as scrap metal.


If china offered J-20, the answer would still be the same. Money and effort spent on integrating it would be much better spent on TFX. Forget about NATO, forget about the American reaction. It's just no bueno.
