We already have euro stinger, I'm not sure what development this will bring. Maybe just for export market but it'll bring some experience for bigger projects.

-A step to Local-aam,
-A new product for international markets,
-Local supply for air-defence units,
-Change the aging stingers with a local one.
-Not giving millions of money to someone else but, local firms and R&D,
(in fact not spending any money , by selling it to others, just like selling cirit to UAE.)

Local IIR seeker we already have and the software side is already child's play.. plus stingers have a damn long shelf life.

Unless this new manpads somehow turns out to be technically superior it'll never see service in our armed forces. So I believe this is only for export.
