Turkish General Elections 2015 (June 7, 2015)

For whom did you vote ? :azn:
You wont believe me but i only voted once in 2011 for AKP, back then when they were doing good reforms instead of polarising the country and act as if they are the owner of it.

If you ask me today, i have no clue for whom to vote, either CHP or MHP.

I assumed you would know better, but i will explain it. If you were able to read my post correctly, you would have seen i said 'polarising of the nation', not KURDS. Since HDP won with tactical vote of socialist Turks, I'm not in anyway incorrect.
Also you may call me whatever you want, since i really don't give a flying fcuk about what you think; maybe next time you should learn some manners.
How significant is this tactical voting? I read some articles about it and some Turks advocating it but I didn't know that it was serious.

So this is like how we have legislative elections for House/Senate? For president, majority vote/majority electoral votes from states wins for him. But House/senate majority republican. 2/3 seats is plenty I believe? So not much different than now?
No its a completely different system, normally the President doesnt have much power in Turkey, the Parliament is the most powerful institution but since Erdogan is controlling AKP...

In Parliament out of 550 seats you need 276 for forming a goverment, 330 for making referandum and 367 for 2/3 majority, AKP has 256 at the moment.

Kurds abandoned sinking ship, and showed their true face. PKK.

It's more like HDP got it's votes back from AKP, which is not surprising.

Theres 3.5-4 % rise in mhp votes since 2011. And if you look at the results from provinces, theres a rise of 2-8% in mhp votes (Central and western turkey). And i should add that hdp got that percentage not only from kurds, but also from turkish leftists.

You are exactly right.

I am not sure about this part, since the increase in HDP votes mostly comes from South Eastern region, unless one wants to claim that all leftist turks live in SE as well ;) I think increase in HDP votes mostly come from kurds losing trust to AKP, and inclining to HDP.
Turks are also becoming more right wing which has caused some AKP votes to be inclined to MHP.

Mark my words, another election:-).

Election wont solve the crisis. With Kurdish vote AKP had the upper hand. Now without Kurds, AKP is gradually going to lose remaining votes, too.

US dollar jumped from 2.66 to 2.79.
EUR jumped from 2.97 to 3.08.
Economy has crashed.

Sorry, but sometimes people in Turkey have to learn the hard way.

Vote for AKP...Vote for Fenerbahce ! :smokin:

CHP & MHP are Galatasaray supporters !

The way I decided whom to vote for was asking the question: Who's the best of the worst !

Not a Turk so im not aware of the domestic impacts of AKP rule like our Turkish members here do. However from an international pov there is no doubt that AKP has transformed Turkey.Personally I was in Istanbul two summers ago and was really impressed by the infrastructure for example. Nevertheless I think the time is ripe now for AKP to lose and realize that it has to continue performing to win. Of late AKP actions resemble those of authoritarian states. Power corrupts and Erdogan has been in power for too long. Just a random foreigners view :)

You can't blame the kurds for voting for the party that promised them more rights; you should blame erdo for polarising the nation and allowing HDP to get a foot hold.
The polarization of Turkey doesn't only come from Erdogan. It comes from all political party's including it's leaders. Their politics are about demonizing each other all the time. They barely debate about an argument at hand, it's always about how bad the other one is.

For instance: AKP is dictatorship, CHP is anti-religion, MHP are fascists, etc. If you hear stuff like this coming from the highest figures in the country (political leaders & other politicians), then of-course the people are gonna have trust issue's, and even literally hate the other party's (sometimes even including it's followers).
Even CHP's tv commercial was polarizing: 'laiklige ve cumhuriyete zulmedenlere, protesto amacli alkisliyoruz. Oy verin gitsinler'.

All the political leaders in Turkey need to act responsible and be aware of the effect it has on the people.
