Turkish forces have escorted at least 2,000 militants back to Syria over the last week in a covert operation to reverse the loss of terrorist groups, sources say.

"We have been allowed to move everything from light weapons to heavy equipment mortars and missiles and our tanks," Abu Issa, a commander of the militant group Levant Front, which runs the border crossing of Bab al-Salam, told Reuters on Thursday.

The militants, then, headed into the embattled border town of A’zaz in Syria’s northern Aleppo Province, he added.

The route across Turkey has become the only path for militants to enter Aleppo, after the Syrian army recently captured the main lifeline into the militant-held territory.

Another militant source said the Turkish army had stepped up delivery of arms and heavy military hardware in the last two days to reinforce militants facing a major offensive by Syrian forces.

Syrian troops have come within 25 miles (40 kilometers) of the Turkish border for the first time in over two years.

On Thursday, the so-called Syrian Observatory for Human Rights confirmed that hundreds of militants had crossed from the Turkish territory into A’zaz under the supervision of Turkish authorities in the last few days.

Ankara has been targeting YPG positions in northern Syria over the last few days in an attempt to stop Kurdish forces from reaching the Syrian border with Turkey, while Syrian forces have been making steady gains.

On Thursday, Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu announced that Turkish forces will continue to shell Kurdish positions on Syrian soil.

Turkey regards the YPG and its umbrella group the Kurdish Democratic Union Party (PYD) as an ally of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), which has been fighting for an autonomous Kurdish region inside Turkey since the 1980s.

The YPG, which controls nearly Syria’s entire northern border with Turkey, has been fighting against the Takfiri Daesh terrorist group.

Turkey has been among the main supporters of the militant groups fighting to topple the Syrian government.

It is like cancer. If you are in phase 1 you have chance for operation or chemotherapy.Yes ıt hurts you much but you can survive.
In phase 2 you have less chance.Phase3 and phase 4 it is very very difficult to survive(ALLAH c.c knows)

Assad is in a deep shit, Erdogan want his slice of it?

Comparing Asad with Erdogan is like comparing apple with hemlock, one is used to sustain life the other to terminate life.

Your advice sit and wait until pkk state or Daesh state knock our door.(may be two at the same time)We wait till PYD,Russians and Assad attack to FSA and Turkmens. As Erdoğan said we wont give permision toPKK state.
We have enough experience at terorism for 40 years. Our forces are one of the bests in the world against terrorism There is no difference between Daesh and PKK (PYD) for us.This is middle-east reality and we must be strong.

Turkey is capable enough to rid off terrorists. Doesn't matter whether the enemy is within or without. All these attack on Turkey from several fronts just opens people's eyes to the simple reality: To secure Turkish interests there is only one group we can count on, OURSELVES. Yes we got friends in the West and the East, muslim or non-muslim. But when shit hits the fan, we will have to stand tall on our own two feet.
All these developments, however negative and disastrous they may seem today, are reminders that we alone, as a people, can stand up for our national interests. All these propaganda eminating from Europe or Middle East, that we are helping ISIS or we are "slaughtering" innocent Kurds, are what they are = propaganda. The Turkish Republic has every right to agressively push for our interest in this volatile region. We are, and we will become a safe haven for those we care about.

And you @Hasbara Buster
I certainly don't hope you are Turkish, if you are, you are one hell of a traitor. Working to disgrace Turkey 24/7 in PDF with all your mental effort. You do this because you think in your screwed world view Erdogan has betrayed islam and muslims. Funnily enough, for this reason you side with Russia who wouldn't give two cents about your Muslim brothers.
I remember you very well, i don't suffer from short term memory loss unlike many. I've been here since 2009 and in the beginning you were pro-Erdogan, suddenly you made a U turn.
I'm not an Erdogan fanboy, and i am a muslim. For my country's and people's interest im aware of the simple fact that however disagreable i may be with current government's i have to support my nation and its interest against foreign propaganda whose sole purpose is painting a false picture of the truth for their own interest and agenda.
