Turkish Engine Programs

Nice! At last a campony invest money to devolope engine technology and not licence:-). And not a normal engine it wil be compared with EURO6 norm:-).

hh, Turkey no produce or develop engines.

I'm actually happy that i found a Turkish made engine. İ will research to the bottom of it... :D

Do you know other Turkish made engines ?

@farag you can stick this Ecotorq engine to your ***. :)

Well you see, I don't know if Ecotorq engine complies to your standards Sinan. I'm reading that some of the parts are imported for assembly, so not 100% of it is produced in Turkey I'm afraid. :( Even though engine is developed by Turks.

Also this thread might interest you, if you haven't seen it before

Don't worry about him. He likes bitching around so I sometimes give his medicine with crushing his useless troll head with painfull facts time to time. It was the first times I took him serious so I was giving some serious answers regarding the subjects but Today, I have a different style to kick his arse... :butcher:

Murat Bayar had seriously thought Otosan as strong candidate of National powerpack project tender because Design team of Otosan is able to develop most effective domestic commercial engines for own designed cars. Many negotiations were held between them but Cause of unknown reasons, Otosan didn't participate into tender so Project has been delaying...

^ No doubt HEMA is offering Licensed engines..

i read some times ago a reportage with an official of hema about the national powerpack tender. he said if they win they will develop a new engine family accordance of the demands of ssm. i think the foreign partner is L3-communications . maybe the new engine will based on the AVDS-1790 1500HP Engine. i think this is a good solution .

According to chief designer of Kharkov Design Bureau, engine building (HKBD) already made a prototype perspective Tank Engine power 1400l.s., Held kosntruktorsko-development testing.

Development of long-term engine specialists State-owned enterprise "Kharkiv engine design bureau," has caused great interest of foreign experts and potential customers. It can be used in any climatic conditions (55 ° C) and for these indicators is unmatched. Now a new engine 6TD-3 is prepared for serial production.

6TD series engines are far ahead of time. And now on the tactical and technical characteristics, they are not inferior to the best foreign analogues. Volume data MTO motors — the smallest of all the tanks produced in the world.

The new engine will have a mass of 1200 kg, and the power will be 1400 hp Reduction efficiency of heat transfer is 30%, compared with four-stroke engines.

Turkey could partner with the new pro-western Ukrainian government and make a JV agreement to manufacture a 1500+ HP power-pack, considering that Kharkiv isn't annexed with all its technologies. I mean, if there is already a plan to sell the R-36 ICBM technology to Turkey, why can't there be an agreement to power the Altay MBT with full marketing and intellectual property rights to Turkey.

This seems like a very realistic option for us. The t-80 was presented to Turkey in the past so in the future I dont see any obstacles unless of course ukraine loses the necessary facilities to produce these motors.

@DESERT FIGHTER

Can you give us a summary of Pakistan-Ukraine engine relationship? Is there ToT or what?

Thanks.

First of all a lil correction brother....Ukraine doesnt build t-80s... but T-84s .. and nope.. we dont produce the engine.. although we have overhauling, maintanence and assembling facilities of the 6TD series .. used in T-84/UD and AK-I ... 1200hp engines..

While a 1500 hp powerplant for AK-II is under testing from both Germany and Ukraine..
