You can not replace the name Erdogan with Hitler, that's a wrong political comparison. I believe different about what human's are able to.

Last time, it was Robert Fisk trying so hard to compare, not only of Erdogan but also of Ataturk as a single figure with baseless claims.

Erdoğan was saying that we would become the 10th biggest economy in the world by 2023 ?...And we dropped to 18th...a year ago.......

Growth of 5 percent won't put us in the top ten list....if you wish i can do the maths.

Plus, you have to take the devaluation of the Turkish lira into account.

But this phrase is "Turkey's so-called economic growth" completely wrong. Just in last 2 years it dropped because Lira lost ground against $...if you look at the last 14 years..you will see that there was a continues growth.

Fact is that turkey is in a very unstable situation and also struggles internal. Also turkey has no population growth greater than europe for a single reason. Turks have no more childs than italians or spanish. Its the kurds in the east of turkey who have a very high birthrate. Thats not positive for turkey at all.

Turkey is almost like two countries in one. If you see the west like Istanbul or Izmir its pretty much in many aspects like spain or italy. But the east is like another universe. So far no turkish government was able to unite both parts.

Also there are many reasons why turkey never will hold any power over europe. Turkey isn´t christian and had always an incredible bad reputation in europe. Its the very same reason why it will never be part of the EU and only accepted on the side table.

Thats not a bad thing but simply a reality. Turkey will be a partner like it is now.

Thats not entirely true anymore, the cities in Anatolia also developed a lot in recent years, many new companies pooped up in those cities, the biggest problem is SE region but thats gonna stay as its is as long as pkk isnt finished.
