Turkish Cypriot Dep PM: The EU is insincere with Turkey

And i won't be surprised if his influence absorbs Europe in 1 or 2 decades

Did you really just say you belieev turkey will occupy europe in next 20 years?

We are not German. No Turk will turn children into soaps or have medical experiments on them.

Brother hold your breath as i saw the conversation...if you go aggressive and offensive out of no where. He has every right to reply you with the same manner.

Brother, if you can't be able to debate in a polite manner then don't interrupt an on going debate at least, please.

Or if you are irked by the foreigners...just tell me so. I won't mention you no more, you and i would debate in our section.

"I'm a slave for the country, i work only for the Germany and German people nothing more"

Jaja, our beloved "Führer" and the last thing he wanted for Germany was to burn it down...how we could dare to disappoint him.

Nobody is immune against such barbarism, everyone is able to do actions like this, out of the different reasons.
That's beyond sick.

Germany was one of the highest educated countries in this times...and we still had done such things.
You should question it then.

Who didn`t learn anything from history, is doomed to repeat it.
In our history, we have no such thing to learn and repeat.

I honestly am of the opinion that we will see the following.
1: Either Turkey will continue on its current path of 5-6% GDP growth per year with agressive development in Arms Industry and this will have an impact on Europe as a whole. In short we will have greater leverage on European countries in a couple of decades
2: or we will go towards our own demise if Middle East explodes and we get involved in their shitty wars.

In number one scenario it doesnt necessarily mean a negative development. We can have perfectly fine relations with Europe while retaining our own individual value system and identity. As our economy grows our, as Middle Easter+North African+Balkan countries grow, so will our leverage as the most influential country in this region.
If you ask me, this is simple arithmetic.

And i agree, please stop the pissing contest bsruzm and markus

Very optimistic, i would say. Greater leverage with a greater economy....As whole EU has 15 times bigger economy than us.....

I see it like you, probably option 1...but but two is not as impossible. Hard to say.

Yes, but it is shrinking so does their population. Our population will peak at around 90 million and an economic growth of about 5 percent will put us in one or two decades at greater influence in worst estimates in 10 years the economy of Turkey will be around 1,3 or 1,4 trillion and with the passing of years it'll go faster. Remember from 2003 to 2008 the economy went from 200 billion to 800 billion USD. Even French GDP went from about 3,8 trillion to 3,1 trillion in three years. That's like the entire economy of Turkey's 800 billion

Yeah, because from low income we came to middle income....it's not easy to pass through middle-income trap. I think, you are familiar with the concept.

Erdoğan was saying that we would become the 10th biggest economy in the world by 2023 ?...And we dropped to 18th...a year ago.......

Growth of 5 percent won't put us in the top ten list....if you wish i can do the maths.

I see it but still, I don't like such political comparision. Especially when a German does it.
