if Istanbul and Anatolia had not been invaded , Mosul perhaps would not have been lost

even ATATURK wanted to save Mosul in 1925 but British used the Kurds for rebellion against Turkiye

This reminds me of the first months of the war.

There is certainly some truth about the Russians holding back in Ukraine.

However I'm not sure the reasons listed so far are considered the top contenders.

So Putin knows the US basically has the whole battlefield under surveillance. If he starts trying to use something like the Su-57 he knows the US has some stealth team already hiding behind some bush patiently waiting for the opportunity to shoot it down and have world headlines say their latest stuff is "crap". He's wary of stepping into this as he could get just as much flak at home than abroad. He's worried about being suckered/duped and end up in a coup or something (as he is probably surmising this is the real intended end game).

Also I think they don't have the quality and quantity of their latest weapons at a level where they are comfortable risking them in a live fire test.

I do agree the Russians have no problem with just throwing bodies onto the battlefield in a standard war of attrition. That is a route they always feel safe with.

According to TEMEL KOTIL ( President & CEO at Turkish Aerospace ) TFX will make its maiden flight at the end of 2023

The first flight was previously scheduled for 2025


Turkiye chose to use F110-GE-129 in MMU prototypes and perhaps the first 1-2 squadrons MMU Blok 1 to be delivered to the TURAF as 2028-2030

because that Engine is used in the F-16s in our inventory.

I was going to post yesterday something about his contradiction on the war,but I moved on. He was bursting our bubble for months about how the Bayraktar destroyed Russian tanks and Air Defences and how succesful the Turkish weapons were in Ukraine etc. etc. And then changed it to "Ukrainians don't know how to use them"

It's like "oooh even Russian army get destroyed by Turkish weapons" then "Russians devastated Ukraine".

One hand "even Russian ship Moskva was sunk by Ukrainians" then "Ukraine is no rival of Russia".
