I advocate PA going for Chinese attack helis actually. The Z-10ME seems like quite an attractive solution for this ridiculous problem.

Absolutly right PA & PAF must need to go for Z-10ME on urgent bases from China & when Turkey resolved this engine problem then we cant inducted T-129 Atak from Turkey...

Turkey is a NATO ally and will be treated like a NATO ally when it returns to being a NATO ally. The solution is simple: get rid of S-400 and the F-35 will be delivered.

IMHO, Turkey should sell its S400 units to China and be done with it and go back to normal.

We can wait three years for a new helicopter. Sticking with ATAK in the long term will bear fruit for the Turks. Nothing is changing materially for PA in a couple of years. If they are desperate to get some helicopters, feel free to buy more Hinds which are in service in token numbers already to augment the cobras.

US sanctions will actually hasten the engine development efforts in Turkey because prior to that they could still use the US engines for domestic ATAK helos, just not granted an export license. Now in order to meet their own requirements, they will be forced to get their own solution ready that much sooner.

I say we bite the bullet and wait for Turks to do their thing. And if people are really feeling the lack of new attack helicopters, besides what I stated above re Hinds, get aggressive and pro-active diplomacy going to get the Zulus delivered

Include the Mi-35 in there. Basically a cluster fk of different helicopters from different manufacturers and countries, all in small token numbers, making a royal mess in training, logistics, and waste of resources

S-400 is not the real reason. You will see that India will get away with purchase of S-400. Matter of fact is that West was vary of Turkey since Erodgan inception and Turkey taking decisions in her own interests. Even if Turkey gives away S-400, things will never go back to normal.

Dear, PAA already inducted MI 35 from Russia in small number and some more are on order eventually it will be max 15 to 20 in number.

yes, it is right, on negative side, various types from various vendors create maintenance issue and increase cost but on positive side, it creates difficulty for enemy to counter and balance various breeds.

Turkey is a true friend of Pakistan since hundreds year. I found them very friendly, when I visited several city of Turkey a few years back. Aftr USA ban on F16 technologies for Pakistan, Turkey provide free parts and maintenance to Pakistan for F16. Now Turkey have provided several latest arms including UAV, latest ships , etc underground manufacturing on large scale. I am not replying to any members above. I have several sweet Turkish friends here in Toronto and do salaat in Turkish mosque too.

You must be Joking? Latest Mi-35 is better than Z-10? Mi-35 is an obsolete design where low RCS is not taken into consideration. This will hinder low level air defense penetration.

Mi-35 is good as a flying tank or search and destroy mission of militants. But if comes to conventional warfare of penetrating an air defense, it will be a flying target for manpad or low attitude air defense gun.

Mi-35 is simply too heavy and big to be agile. Show me a video of Mi-24/35 doing 360 degrees flip turn in air?
It survivability in modern warfare is highly questionable.

I think they over promised. It is beyond the capabilities of Turkey to produce 100% of cutting edge weapon platform. No countries will ever TOT their crown propulsion system to another countries.
