The majority of these "Scholars" were just wasting their time in those universities.. 10 000 elite scholars would have been more than enough to cover the Muslim world needs.. in any case they will never be able to analyse or conclude on Islam better than what have been done centuries ago.. they are needed to reinforce those deep understandings of Islam..nothing more..
I am neutral on this decision by KSA because I do not know yet the motivation behind it..but
It seems _according to your posts_ that Turkish Islam is the real Islam.. and Saudi Islam is wrong.. I will ask you gently to come back to your senses..

The right Islam can ultimately only be revealed by Allah. But he gave us human beings the ability to chose between right and wrong. In this spirit, we Muslims have the competency and permission of Allah to decide which contemporary version of Islam is wrong. And it is obvious for the majority of the Muslims worldwide that the Saudi/Wahhabi version is definitely wrong by all means. This may look like a contradiction on the surface but it isn't once you give it some thought.

People are discussing which Islam is the right one but one thing is for sure Islam also changed over the centuries so many times sometimes for good sometimes for bad but mostly by some influencial individuals i.e. man made changes.
Whats left to us is to use our brain and draw a conclusion.

Well, the right Islam has already been revealed to us 1400 years ago Trough our prophet Mohammad SAW in our sacred book the Qor'an..The essence of the message is about peace in society through internal peace of the individual.. and it puts much emphasis on the latter, because the peace of the whole society depends on the peace of the individual.. this is universal and timeless, be it in the past, the present or the future.. it is exactly like 1+1=2 ..Thus, only the interpretation attempts can be wrong.. Islam's message is clear as water, but ignorance is so widely spread that most people' minds are blinded which makes them to be lost on conjuncture where they lose the view of the essence.. the worst part is that they will fight for the conjuncture till death.. But sometimes peace is also destroyed by external events, or other societies' hegemony.. Unfortunately Muslims although peaceful must respond to animalistic instincts of others with the same instinct..

Did I say anything that was not based upon facts? I don't think that I was particularly harsh either. Sometimes you need frank comments to make your point come across clearly. I am not hear to please any party or get the approval of any party regardless of religion, ethnicity, nationality, skin color, economic income, sexuality (you name it). I speak my own mind.

Well, not sure how one can disagree with well-established ground realities and historical facts, but that aside, I am sure that you support that right yourself, so everything is good and well.
