What's new

Turkey has Europe’s largest military maintenance facility: 5th ABM

I really don't think I can add more to this. This is spot on.

I have met many Ahmadis who support PML-N and PTI, with a vast number being apolitical. That's because we tried supporting what was supposedly a liberal politician in Bhutto, but even he backstabbed us when pressured by the right wing.

Currently I' say majority of Pakistani Ahmadis, although concerned about Pakistan do not actively support one party or another. We can't vote in Pakistan unless we sign forms accepting we are kafir, as long as those laws exist, no Ahmadi is going to vote. That's a potential 3-4 million votes lost.

Personally, I would vote for any centre left party if given the chance. But the true question, is there any true secular party in Pakistan?
I agree. Those same forms I saw in the consulate of Pakistan in Canada while getting some of my passport work done. Its sad that we were a state

Zafarullah Khan was called a son by Jinnah and when mullahs from the gutter came up and demanded he be declared a "Kaffir" Jinnah vehemently stood by Zafarullah saying, "he is calling himself a muslim, how can I declare him non muslim."

Also some of these same people don't dare to declare nation of Islam (black political movement-google if you don't know) Kaffir because at times they stand up to the US. Its just that these evil people have an easy target inside Pakistan and can lay their hands on ahmedis. I had a friend who told me he was beaten at a bus stop for being an Ahmedi. Its sad that a community that did so much for Pakistan is suffering in this way.

Your question is absolutely right. There is no proper secular party in Pakistan though it is my hope to build one. Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto claimed to be secular and today a lot of the left wing supports him. But actually I believe he was a despotic ruler who rigged elections, nationalized everything and as you know well suppressed ahmedis. Very few remember ZAB's dance with mullahs though most remember Zia. ZAB started what Zia finished. He threatened to break the legs of bengalis who voted. Also do note that Pakistan was never declared an Islamic republic until Jinnah lived. He wanted us to be a secular state. Jogindar Nath Mandal, Cornelius and Zafarullah Khan's support proved that.

I think we should be ashamed about how we failed our minorities.

You have no idea about our country.

We are not Germany, in which every single day a new muslim apartment or mosque burned down or attacked, jews severally targeted for attacks etc..

In our country, this kind of things VERY RARELY happen. They are like not-happening TBH.

We might be the best performer of secularism in the whole world, because our nation respects one another, just like Hz. Mohammad himself respected his son-in-law and his beliefs even though he was a Christian.

"We respect every human-beings, because of that God created them too" says our concurrent President left and right.

And he is right, God created them too. They shall also be respected.

People like Zarvan don't understand a simple fact. Allah could have made us all muslim. But he didn't. He made people of different faiths so we could work together and learned from one another.

For years unfortunately our society was made to believe that secularism was an evil idea-anti Islamic and against our religion. Even though Islams rich history is filled with such examples. To note a few din e ilahi, roshaniya, iqbal's call for ijtehad.

The statement of Jinnah (rh) about Sir Zafrullah Khan (rh) is never publicly acknowledged by those who sometimes quote him to prove that Jinnah envisioned an "Islamic" republic. One does have to ask these champions of Islam is if did Jinnah (rh) did talk about an Islamic state then what type of Islamic state did he mean. Because in Jinnah's (rh) Islamic state, Ahmadis would still be Muslims since he had no qualms about praying behind Ahmadi Imam.

Truth be told, it saddens me whenever I turn on my t.v and I hear about another bomb blast or attack in Pakistan. For me any Pakistani suffering is my suffering but narrow mindedness has penetrated our society to such a level that even shop keepers routinely put up signs saying no animals and no qadianis.

The fire of sectarian that our establishment deployed against Ahmadis has now spread to every house and people of every religion and sect are not safe. I don't want to gloat but the Imam of Jamat e Ahmadiyya warned Bhutto and the parliament that what you were doing today, tomorrow someone will stand up say Shias are kafir or Sunnis are kafir. But when we become blind with hatred there is no seeing sense. I only pray now that the people of Pakistan wake up and unite to put out this fire.

If this is hope, then let me say I stand behind you and wish you the best. But these are dangerous times so I would advise you to be careful, God knows when the next laymen dreams of heaven and finds his best bet is to kill a "secular kafir".

Bhutto was naïve, he believed he could appease the right wing and placate mullahs and hold on to power. All he did was done to maintain his hold on power. The Mullah can never be controlled, he will never be satisfied until he alone is given the reins of power.

I'm aware of the state Jinnah (rh) wanted, but history has been changed, powers that be have re-written history. Ask an average Pakistani about the link between Pakistan Independence Movement and Ahmadiyya Movement, I doubt many would be able to go past the words kafir and ghaddar.

Exactly. Ahmedis should be free to call themselves muslims or whatever they want. In an ideal society its not the states concern. When a state begins to impose religion there are bound to be consequeces:

An excerpt from one of my articles:

-When a country decides to judge its people by how much or how little they follow their religion it fails to focus on other important things such as science, education, economy and growth. Ignoring these sectors has often led to decline in Islamic societies. It is causing Pakistan to decline today with the GDP growth rate that is incapable of creating new jobs for a rising population.

Truth be told, it saddens me whenever I turn on my t.v and I hear about another bomb blast or attack in Pakistan. I agree. There are occasions when in Zia's Pakistan shopkeepers refused to sell to Christians. The same has been true for Ahmedis. I sometimes feel bad myself. Maybe we could do something to protect Ahmedis, Christians and other minorities.

The thing with Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was he was mad. He even banned alcohol for Christians and Hindus. Why should Christians not drink when there is nothing against it in their religion. ZAB was an Islamic fanatic but very few except the Ahmedis know of his true evil face. I admire Ahmedis for this and personally I think of ZAB as worse than Zia Ul Haq. Except that his hanging made him a martyr for the left wing. I believe some communists support ZAB. Don't know what makes them do so. He banned drinking, nightclubs and threatened to break the legs of Bengalis other than calling Ahmedis non muslim. If they think thats what is called a good man go with him.

If this is hope, then let me say I stand behind you and wish you the best. But these are dangerous times so I would advise you to be careful, God knows when the next laymen dreams of heaven and finds his best bet is to kill a "secular kafir".

I am pretty much open in my views. I do not hide them or cower behind locked doors. I want to improve things in Pakistan even if my life is at risk. I am a Pakistani nationalist. If being from Lucknow has taught me anything is that I will never let anyone or any minority community feel the same way my parents and grandparents felt there.
Bhutto was naïve, he believed he could appease the right wing and placate mullahs and hold on to power. All he did was done to maintain his hold on power. The Mullah can never be controlled, he will never be satisfied until he alone is given the reins of power.

Very true. Specially the bold part. There was this Kashmir Education Fund. One school was in a remote area of Kashmir. Militants sent messages for it to stop conducting some sort of shows. But the parents stood up to the militants. They said if you give in to the militants now tomorrow they will come with more demands. They will ask you to impose pardah, beards for students, no western education etc etc.

Thats what I want to see on the scale of the entire nation. All Pakistan rising up to face the takfiri wahabi ideology of the militants.

I'm aware of the state Jinnah (rh) wanted, but history has been changed, powers that be have re-written history. Ask an average Pakistani about the link between Pakistan Independence Movement and Ahmadiyya Movement, I doubt many would be able to go past the words kafir and ghaddar.

I have come across the mullah argument many times and it is clear that these people do not know much about jinnah. Before 1930 and even before 1940 to an extent Jinnah was intent on finding a solution to the problem-he did not even propose Pakistan until the face of India became clearer. He was called the ambassador of Hindu Muslim unity. He was never a fanatic. He vouched for Pakistan when all other options failed.

I would like to see an all inclusive Pakistan. Keep posting brother. And keep vouching for the extermination of all militants Taliban LEJ or oppressive of Ahmedis.
