i can't recall saying that, but i do recall you whining and crying about "western lies in Iraq" how turkey can unseat Syria in one day (impossible) and you seem to think the Russians wouldn't doing anything if turkey were attacking their bases in Syria.
that said when you said Iraq didn't have a civil war i died laughing, the country has been battling an insurgency for most of its history.

the kurds held most of north Iraq in 2003 thanks to no fly zones and they did have plenty of clashes with the Iraqi army. likewise Iraq had to deal with their constant guerrilla hit and runs much like the FSA does to the SAA.
not too far apart only difference is that Iraq held more square miles of its territory.

It is a complete and utter defeat and humiliation of the REGIME CHANGE DOCTRINE of the West. Bashar al-Assad may noy be a very nice guy and all but boy, this is a defeat. AFTER YUGOSLAVIA they got high and cocky and thought they could do it in MENA as well. They were arrogant and delusional. As General Wesley Clark once said - Take out 7 countries in 5 years: Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Iran.

What a complete and utter defeat. All are based on some outdated doctrine of the "GRAND CHESSBOARD" by ZBIGNIEW BRZEZINSKI who himself -feeling the heat- said, sincerely or not, that that strategy -that starting with luring the Soviet Union into Afghanistan which led to the rise of Osama bin Laden- was outdated.
