Turkey Almost Went to War With Israel

Turkey didn't have its own IFF system on its F-16's back in 2010 now it does. Turkey has also developed its own cruise missiles and is developing its own anti ship missiles. In a few years we will be ready for any scenario at this point any sanctions would do alot of damage. By 2025 we will be jet set with everything. Right now its smarter to keep a low profile and mind our own business until we are fully developed.

After that any other flotilla can be sent with a naval escort.

What does 'week' foreign policy mean? Israel never fought a real war, it occupies the Palestinian people and does a good job of murdering Palestinians in the thousands. I'm not sure I'd take pride in that though.
.
El pollo loco!! Six day War and Yom Kippur War's were Shakespearean tales right?

It was a good call by erdo, turkey got sympathy and israel's image got massive beating even though turks were at least 50 percent responsible for that mess.

Israel has alot of international backing and we dont. Nato doesn't mean anything in a Turkey v.s Israel Scenario.

After we get our TF 2000 anti air warfare frigates, develop our long range cruise missiles, build more Ada Class Stealth corvettes and build a significant amount of indegenous fighter jets we wont have to worry about an arms embargo if any situation were to arise.

Again we should just develope our selves for a while and not get distracted.

We had in 2009 cruisemissiles, tactical balistic missiles, and a lot ships and fighters. So what are these stupids see us for?

If we wher in war with israel had destroyed us blabla. How old are you little girl?

  • Our fighters saw israeli jets as friends in 2010 but now we built our own IFF so now we choose who is friendly and who isn't
  • AGM-84E Standoff Land Attack Missile (SLAM) only had 110k, range where as som has already been tested out to 300km. The newer one will have 500km range
  • Yildirim II has 300km range and is land based so it cant reach any targets inside israel
  • The navy is fine like you said.
  • Dont forget an arms embargo would do alot of damage.
  • Plus our air defence sucks untill we get FD-2000 or develop our own and untill korkut and hisar are ready.
Again im not saying we attack israel im just stating the reality of the situation at the time which is probably why they backed down. This is one of the first times the military encountered a situation like this. Greece, and armenia are one thing but Israel is a different ball game. It is far away from us and they are more advanced that our normal enemies.

The six day war was a war of aggression by Israel. Israel had already knew beforehand of Egyptian plans to recapture their territory, they also were resupplied over and over again. That's not impressive, especially when they had more advanced weapons. Sigh...

It was kind of expected tough. İf you put religious zealots on a flotilla that say they are ready to die for 72 virgins and then jump on special ops with bare hands. We got sympathy from Arab world but last time i checked Egypt told us to mind our own business with regard to the coup. I guess we did it all for nothing. Our Arab policy has failed. Reality check for erdogan. That is why Turkey and Israel are coming to terms again. It is the right thing.

Please refrain from this right now.

A full-scale war with a nuclear-armed country is a fool's wish. Turkey's military has a reputation for being far more than capable, but what happens when a nuclear power feels like a wounded animal, with only one move left?

You will see a very bright flash on the horizon before you ever see Washington, Moscow, Islamabad, Tel Aviv, New Delhi, or Beijing captured by ground forces. London and Paris I think would defer to the US for guidance, so that I am not sure about.
