And UK needs Turkey, esspecialy after Brexit. And Turkey needs strong and realible eurpean ally outside the EU. No coincidenca that right after Brexit Turkey and UK held number of high level meetings, BAEs becoming the partner in TFX ( and easly brashing off their exclusion from parnership with Airbus, saying they are already i=engaged in program with Turkey which is in much advanced stage), RRs arrival to Turkey, UKs support for Afrin opp...

One of the benefits for Britain is a $135m (£99m) deal under which BAE Systems develops fighter jets for the Turkish Air Force.
That is one of the most arrogant and ignorant things I have ever read.

You know the Brits brash of arrogance comes with the birthcerificate.

Project Azm...
JF-17 as a stop gap (if the US is mad and will covers f-16 logistics in future)

The only long-term alternative is to accelerate the F-X project. The other medium-term solution is to enter into a larger body business through Hurjet accumulation. Also , Project Azm , Turkish F-X and Tempest are may be separate projects, but they may have the highest level of common infrastructure possible.

Today, with the decree published in the official gazette, a factory investment incentive of about 1 billion dollars has been passed. In the past few months, we had an agreement with the British company for prototype preliminary design tests.

The new facility and additional employment will prevent narrowing of existing projects
like helicopter programs UAV programs and supplies parts to wide-body aircraft manufacturers. The new plant capacity is largely planned for the F-X project.
