As long as India has utility as a giant market and/or a tool against China, I don't foresee much against India. The NY Times Comments I mentioned above even acknowledged that.
But unless and until Indian diaspora/lobbies gain such control in American politics like the Israelis have done, India is very vulnerable to pressures and diplomatic blackmails. Pakistan alone can be given a dozen billions to cause major headaches for India.
