Bengali has been the court language of Tripura kings long before the war and refugee crisis. Bengalis as an ethnic group are an admixture of many different ethnicities but are now bounded by one common language which basically defines our ethnicity. Tripura is and will be a part of Bengal.
And you said the people of Tripura cares...they care about what? Majority of the people of Tripura are Bengalis and it is not going to change.

Don't know what to think about this. On one hand we stand to make more profit definitely, on another this just adds to the current trend of best tea crops being shipped to outside my state leaving us locals with the lesser quality produce sold here, me being a tea lover that doesn't delight me

AFIK BSNL has stopped the import from BSCCL via Tripura. BSNL is in a very poor condition though which is true, people here are moving over to JIO fibrenet connection which provides much better services.
About exports whatever makes more sense at the moment will be done regardless.

Biplab Deb's father is originally a BD native, he doesn't want to identify himself with BD. That's the same with every other bengalis who moved due to partition and persecution.
