No country including Pakistan charge tax to caller on incoming calls. Unless you are using Pakistani SIM abroad, all of Call charges + Tax you pay on calls to Pakistan goes to your service providers and government where you are living.

Nope, we buy cards to call to Pakistan. The cards have a certain amount of money and that is taxed by the pakistani government

Sales tax is charged on imports, even if it's free of cost import and not for sale unless item is in exemptions list.

Hey guys just wanted to ask something one thing heard one thing few days back about the Extra charges you have to pay on each Tech device you will be taking

I will be travelling to Pakistan After Feb and
i will be taking 3 Mobiles , and 2 Laptops
2 My mobiles ( personal & work ) and my laptop and a gift laptop and mobile
so how much charges will i have to pay and how will i have to pay on airport , later or i can pay online before going ? any idea

take ample amount of passport copies and If you have a NADRA card then copies of it too. That way you don't have to hunt a photocopy machine!

better check it with pakistan customs call / email them to find out exactly we had family visiting from west carrying all these devices but no taxes were asked nor they were stopped . You may have to pay for packed items probably they consider them extra phones

not even overseas card? get one made at least you don't have to get a visa everytime.

Pakistan's Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry on Friday said that all those mobile phones brought into the country illegally after December 31 will be blocked by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA).

Overseas Pakistanis can take only one phone in a year without paying customs duty and a maximum of five can be brought in as per personal baggage rules. But they will have to pay duty on the four extra handsets.

I don't know what are you talking about taxes no country will charge you taxes if you are just traveling through them

The UK’s Air Passenger Duty (APD) is the highest passenger tax levied anywhere in the world. Originally introduced in 1994 as a means to pay for the environmental costs of air travel, it has risen by a whopping 824% by 2015.

What started out as £5 ($6.50) for short-haul flights and £10 ($12.97) for long-haul flights, the tax reached £13 ($17) for economy class and £26 ($33) for all other classes. Passengers flying further than 2,000 miles pay £73 ($95) for economy class and up to £146 ($189) for all other classes. A further rise is planned for April next year.

Australia’s passenger movement charge (PMC) is one of the highest in the world. The flat rate of A$55 ($42) is imposed on all passengers leaving Australia via international flights or by sea. Introduced in 1995, the PMC replaced a previous departure tax and was initially sold as a way to offset customs and immigration screening costs for the government.

Russia
The most expensive taxes for a long-haul flight are from Russia, a study by UHY found last year. Passengers taking a long-haul trip pay as much as $272, while a short-haul economy class ticket includes an extra $52.

APD thats totally different thing and let me enlighten you as well it has a set amount unlike what Pakistan is doing and this is not on electronic
Price is included in ticket
It has a standard charge for every one if you are flying back to UK £ 0 charge
Between 0 to 2000 miles only £13
Over 2000 miles thats £75 for economy
And £150 for upper classes
Stop comparing apple and oranges


As i said fia and police will only use this to bribe people

Most charges you are talking about are part of tickets which you pay upfront

As i said earlier seems all a scam and most of the money will be going in police and fias pocket.
