When I visit England or any other respected Nation, I have to pay all local taxes regardless, if I am there for a day, week or a month, If you don't want to pay tax don't take the device with you and buy it locally. If you find taxation a scam, I take it you live in west tax free?

I dont know what are you talking about taxes no country will charge you taxes if you are just travelling through them unless you have bought these items in those countries which is a different thing
I dont find texation scam i find the process scam w but as clearied by other members
You can bring 5 devices under 30 days should be ok .

If you don't want to use Pakistani SIM than you can carry 5 mobiles with foreign SIMs. One is limit to be used with Pakistani SIM while in Pakistan. I am frequent traveler and carry 2 mobiles, latest visit to Pak was 3 days ago.

BTW - If you are just a tourist not resident of EU+UK then you can get VAT you paid on purchase of goods refunded at end of your visit.

And if you are a tourist you shouldn't be paying for anything on the goods which you already have in use , Vat refund is for purchasing

Nope u don't have to pay any taxes if u r planing to return after a month

Pakistani nation, as a whole, is used to handouts and taking money illegally, or with morally dubious ways. Just think of it as your patriotic duty, as you serve as a cash cow for the overland, patriotic Pakistanis.

Sir why would GST be charged on a import that is not supposed to be sold in a local market. It will be counted as a gift.

Sales tax is charged on imports, even if it's free of cost import and not for sale unless item is in exemptions list.

Well, Ideally all of it agould go to government of Pakistan, but it doesn't happen because FBR and customs are more corrupt organisations than police.

I would have been ok If it was going to the government but I dont trust the government. Do you know how much the tax us when we call back to pakistan? Its ridiculous and it was set up during peepeepee government. The noon league continued the practice, no one knows who's pocket that money goes to. I want transparency, so we stopped calling, we use free apps now.

No country including Pakistan charge tax to caller on incoming calls. Unless you are using Pakistani SIM abroad, all of Call charges + Tax you pay on calls to Pakistan goes to your service providers and government where you are living.
