Travel alerts against India from Canada and the USA

What I never understood is how these goras go to India to see and smell poverty and disgust.....
Why don't you ask them? In November alone, India registered almost as many foreign tourist arrivals as Pakistan did in the entire year. In 2018, the state of Tamil Nadu received about 6 times more foreign tourists than the entirety of Pakistan.

Also, India has two cities in the list of cities with the most international arrivals for both 2018 and 2019.

I am curious, if Mughal architecture is so great, why does Tamil Nadu get so many tourists? Tamil Nadu isn't really knows for Mughal architecture, since the state was never ruled by Muslim empires such as teh Mughals for any significant amount of time.

Look nobody has this inferiority complex that you might think they have. If a piece of architecture is beautiful and classy and has aesthetic or academic appeal, so be it.

Modi however seems to hold a different view with his inferiority complex over anything remotely Mughal, from art to architecture to historic place names. Does it bug you on a personal level that the Taj Mahal is the archetypal piece of Indian architecture and tourism centrepiece? Your government wrangles with Muslim organisations over its upkeep and references it as being built during a period of slavery for India. What's your opinion?

I dunno dude, to me defining architecture of India or the image that says 'India' is Taj-Mahal. Thats Mughal right?
I'm not denying that. I was simply referring to @masterchief_mirza 's assertion that the Mughals gave India everything it has. Obviously, that is not true, and the numbers show that

Oh well, when you go to say Vancouver, you don't just visit Stanley Park or say Grouse Mountain. You go through the whole length and breadth of the city. You go to Gas Town, you go to petting zoos, you go to ... well you get the point.

But if I were to say name one place that yells out "Vancouver", I guess a number of folks will say either Gas Town or Stanley Park.

Thats what Taj-Mahal did for you. It gave you an icon to stand beneath. The folks who made that should be respected if not revered.

Don't worry, the Taj Mahal isn't going anywhere. But you didn't answer my question. According to you, the Mughals civilized India and gave it all of its achitectural and cultural heritage. If that is true, why does a state like Tamil Nadu, which has very few Mughal monuments but plenty of ancient Indian monuments that predated the Mughals by many centuries get so many foreign tourists?

Personally, I think ALL aspects of Indian history should be preserved, and the ASI does a good job at that, regardless of what the Gov. may think.
