This Vegetable Seller in Lahore Leaves His Shop Open All Night Because of His Faith in Pakistanis

I thought meat is the main food in Pakistan. How frequently do people eat vegetables?

Many Punjabi dishes are a mixture of one vegetable and one meat. So alo keema, alo gosht etc. People generally like meat a lot, but veggies play an important role in lahori/ Punjabi cuisine too.

This kind of vendor-less vegetable stalls also exist in Mizoram. :-)

That's common in Japan remote villages where farmer leave vegis eggs etc on small shops on road sides and write down prises and if someone need to buy they stop and buy the items and left money in a jar @Nihonjin1051.
Well, happy it happening in Pakistan as well.

We south asians often confuse between vegetarians and non-vegetarians. A vegetarian's diet consists entirely of Veggies though he may eat some egg based bakery items. A non-vegetarian does not eat meat three times a day. Since meat is such an item of luxury in South Asia, we Indians tend to eat it once or twice a week. Muslims of Subcontinent usually eat meat as a supplicant in their daily meals. Names of traditional muslim meal will give you enough idea.... viz. Aaloo gosht, Gobhi Gosht, Shalgam Gosht etc.

You just need to suffix "gosht" to any veggie dish :yes4:

But that should be limited some pyaz, keera and tamatar. correct? But The picture shows a lot more variety of Veggies from Cabbage to Baigan to turnips.

Meat only dishes are not that common at home. Most of the vegetables are cooked with meat. First meat is prepared and then vegetable is added. Gobhi gosht, kaddu gosht, teenda gosht, bhindi gosht, palak gosht, shaljam gosht etc. (gosht is mostly mutton but ppl add beef n chicken instead as mutton is Rs 750/kg here) are the common and routine dishes.

ab internet per a gya agly month chori ho gee

hahahaha lets pray it wont happen ..

my brother went for Ummrah , and he told me that in mecca and madina , they let their shops open whenever its time for Namaz .. without any fear of getting looted ..

I think these type of acts are only possible in Muslim countries with strong ethics and laws. This would never be possible in India with loose morals.

well honesty does not comes with religion .. a Hindu can be equally honest as a Muslim .. Christian , jew , Buddist or even atheist can be Honest ... but you can say a Person who really follow his religion in perfect order can never stoop to that level ..
