Why is establishment sleeping? It is simple game, remove 18th amendment and replace it with another. You can easily buy few ppp or PMLN members and ask them to vote for amendment that will change 18th and give full power to local bodies. Fund ilaqa nazims and let them develop their areas.

People of that area know them and will hold them accountable if they try to mismanage. Limit the power of PPP and PMLN to province related matters.

18th amendment was done to fix things..bring back all the power to central Punjab which will hold everything..
we saw how that played out in 1990s

what makes you think a Punjab leader will care about karachi.

what needs to be done is FURTHER devolution of power to sindh districts or cutting punjaband sindh into two(north & south), yes the center was over weakened(due to financial award being 60-40 instead of 50-50 or 40-60 in center)

Bajwa is smart, unlike Musharraf. That's why he prefers all the political parties to fight each other and keep the attention off the army instead of having all of them join hands and challenge the army.
