The point is design is home grown, system design and verification / validation is all owned by India. Kissi din pursath mai baito, samjata hun.

JF 17 is a joint collaboration. Pakistan and china both have same rights on it. Its just indian media reports that china has control over Jf 17 and pakistan has to get approvals. Well you will see in future JF 17 block 3 by PAC kamra. Although you will not admit of course your ego will never allow you, it but this is the reality.

Those who forget history are destined to screw up the future.

A brief recap of history to jog your mind.

In 1986, China signed an agreement with Grumman to develop an upgrade/replacement for the J-7 known as the "Super 7". The program was cancelled in 1990, primarily due to worsening relations with the US following the Tiananmen Square protests of 1989. However, CAC kept the program alive by providing low-level funding from its own resources. After US sanctions were imposed on Pakistan, Pakistan also became interested in the project. It is important to remember that the Chinese continued development and funding on this project until 1999. In June 1999, Pakistan and China made an agreement to restart the program with Pakistan paying about 50% of the development costs. The project became known as JF-17 in Pakistan and FC-1 in China. Now, it is not possible to claim that Pakistan was involved from day one can they?

The first prototype was rolled out on 31 May 2003, conducted its first taxi trials on 1 July, and made its first flight on 24 August of the same year. In the roadmap of development, Pakistan is involved with 50% funding at the fag end of the project as an end user and potential customer with minimal involvement in design intent. The prototype 03 made its first flight in April 2004. On April 28 2006, the prototype 04 made its first flight with fully operational avionics. Serial production was expected to begin in June 2006 and the first 16 aircraft would be rolled out in early 2007. Serial production from 2007-2008 will be at an annual 10-15 planes per year while in 2008+ it will be at 25-30 planes per year.

President Of Pakistan Pervez Musharraf has declared in the Independence day speech on 14th August 2006 that the aircraft will be flying in the Pakistani sky on the 23rd March 2007

How I wish you had something more sensible to write instead of getting personal. But well, you are not the first and you will not be the last.
Have you ever visited indian defence forum? If you , then don't use this "sensible" word. If not then better go there and just try to be reasonable or objective, then you'll get the sense that who is actually sensible.

So whats the point in all this copy paste.

I absolutely have no doubt that either these idiots at PAF are American agents or they are just incapable for newer technology. What a shame that there is no accountability for armed forces.

I am not on Indian Defense Forum for a good reason. But if it hurts you that some sense that prevails on PDF should be compromised because you are inspired by IDF, then good luck with the mods.

I wish your reading comprehension was half as good as your attitude. Last post if you continue denying the obvious.

Look have your ever read about Typhoon. Which is a multinational collaborative project between the UK, Germany, Italy and Spain. And all of these countries consider this aircraft as back bone of their air defense. All of them share equal rights. So now what makes you think that joint collaboration will effect on aircraft efficiency or production. Same story is the JF 17, both china and pakistan have its complete technology and foreign sale will be based on 50% partnership, that it.

They are Trying to Come Up with Workhorse in Shape of F-35 .. it will be Super Multi Role .. Various Version for Navy (Carrier Based) , & Airforce ... It will be thr Strike Aircraft, Ground Attack, Air to Air Role & what not (Except Bomber Aircraft Role) .... & this is what a Cause of concern for Many US think tanks ... Not Only it is turning out to be what it was supposed to be ... Even if work as it should , it would be a Master of None & Jack of All .... (Keep in mind this concern is keeping in Mind the 5th Gen Warfare) !

PS: to answer You in Short term ... F-35 is Not Ready Yet ... Even if it is .. I hardly Doubt they would give to Pakistan atm ... Specially with high concerns of Chinese having a Peek .... Rest of the Aircraft currently under use will cease or only cater to foreign customers !

PSS: .. They have F-22 as Air Superiority ... Which is More thn Enough for Foreseeable Future !! (F-35 is just to fill in the numbers) !

Actually have you read about the Typhoon. Each partner was a member from day 1.

Eurofighter Typhoon | The world's most advanced fighter jet

Further, Eurofighter Jagdflugzeug GmbH co-ordinates the design, production and upgrade of the aircraft.

Hi,

Thank you for your indulgence-----I am not talking about bombers purely---but fighter bombers---deep strike aircraft and air superiority capabilities as well.

U mean multirole ? Well thats what F16 is, and plz dont underestimate F16... Especially the block 52...

Nookri karnay kay 40 saal baad ja kar 70 F16 howay hain.... I think Turkey and other did really well... less than 30 40 years of US Nokri and got trillions of stuff without lost dignity!

Hope you get it...
Turkey have $$$$$. We dont.
