I hate nationalism just like you, and would want the world to be borderless. But as long as there is income/resource disparity I dont see that possible.

which is why in my recent posts, i have talking about eradication of the money system... until money system is there, there will be income/resource disparity... i don't see why a useless stock broker should exist, let alone him making money while others don't have money to get medical treatment.

Globalization already made goods and services to travel crossing border. People bit has already happened for highly qualified people (successful businessmen, artists, sportsperson etc) and the trend will continue.

no... passport and visa remain bothersome things.... besides, footballing and software engineering are totally unnecessary "skills, and i say this being computer designer myself.

just a few days ago, the chancellor of cambridge university ( i think ) was in bangalore and was complaining about drop in number of indian students going to british colleges... the reason being the high security deposit that indian students must make to the british government.

I believe capitalism really works, it brings the best out of us in terms of productivity and innovation. However it requires certain regulatory framework to work effectively. (like a game of football will not be as exciting with just one side playing ... or without any rules being enforced)

the london riots of 2011 clearly demonstrated one thing... the economic disparity in britain and the alienation among the youth... how much ever nice talent shows are arranged in britain ( britain's got talent, dragon's den )... anger remains.

UK Anarchy: London riots enter Day 3 (PHOTO, VIDEO) — RT News

As society though I believe we do have room to implement certain socialist ideas, that improves our lives. I dont see why it should be an either/or scenario, UK has bits of both and it works rather well.

that was from "finsbury square" section of the "occupy london" movement, and below is part of their "initial statement"...

"OCCUPY LONDON STATEMENTS

Initial Statement
This initial statement was collectively agreed by over 500 people on the steps of St Paul’s on 26 October 2011. Like all forms of direct democracy, the statement will always be a work in progress and is used as a basis for further discussion and debate.

- The current system is unsustainable. It is undemocratic and unjust. We need alternatives; this is where we work towards them.

- We refuse to pay for the banks’ crisis.

- We want structural change towards authentic global equality. The world’s resources must go towards caring for people and the planet, not the military, corporate profits or the rich.

- We stand in solidarity with the global oppressed and we call for an end to the actions of our government and others in causing this oppression.

Notes

[1] Article 8 was added to the statement following a proposal being passed by the Occupy London General Assembly on 19 November 2011."

DUDE! get out of cyber world and smell some fresh air

akheilos, i have been a activist in the offline world for the last eleven years, and i am 36 now... i don't need to tell you the details, especially you... you can meet me in bangalore ( india ) and i will tell you the details of how i smelt "fresh air"... but until then, please mind your manners, stop being arrogant... you are the most arrogant member on this forurm... typical of a fanatic burqa wearer...

if i tell you what you can better do, then mods will say i am being vulgar with a female, but that is how you will be useful to me and to humanity... drop out of that stupid college course... it has given you neither sense nor manners... and burn that burqa.

@Horus @Jungibaaz @WebMaster ... is this how this forum treats someone like me?? someone who has actually spent his years in real world socialist activism, with the associated risks and struggles?? you will respect national military personnel and not someone like me?? that is not nice... how can this silly female, akheilos, be so continuously arrogant ( and without substance ) for so long without being banned?? please tell me if i should leave this forum.

@levina @Mahmoud_EGY @Ceylal @Syrian Lion @Ailurus fulgens @ChineseTiger1986 @vostok @senheiser @halupridol @hinduguy @Imran Khan... you are some of the people i have communicated with... i don't know your opinion of me but you too will clearly see this female's arrogance.

thanks for your support, my unknown syrian friend :-)

true, i have created only two thread since joining, and that includes my intro thread :-) but i have added my sincere posts to many threads, and many have been impartial... i tend to write long posts and that takes effort, and then countering people like al-hasani or oldman or mujhaidind or zarvan is really tiring... take a look at this very thread... all my posts are long... and i tried to counter desertfalcon's brainwashing again and again... vostok gave up after sometime and i tried...

and then comes this female...

I share most of your beliefs, but do not agree in a few moments. I believe that faith in God and strong family (not campaign of perverts, like in the West, but a real natural family, preferably with 3 or more children) should remain the core of the human inner world in the distant future.

i dont share most of your thoughts but you are a good man and have many information on the middle east also i am happy that you are on PDF
i am Egyptian nationalist and think that the best economic system is capitalism with government interfere to give the poor a chance in life

Thanks for that excellent video!

There 're many like me who believe that type -1 civilization is our future and we 're slowly straddling towards it.

actually, we are already in middle of "type 1"... if the types are defined by energy production methods, i would say portable power units which use biofuel ( ethatnol, maybe ), and a supplementing battery... are the natural step... this will be decentralized power generation with no machine or system dependent on a grid... nuclear power ( even the over-hyped thorium ) is dangerous, wind power is nonsense, solar power ( even by "molten salt" system ) is unnecessary, oil pollutes or will run out... so what remains... if all we need is a source of electrical power to run computers or motors... fuel can be obtained from the most renewable source... plants... especially using bioengineering enhancement.

for water ship voyages, i would say, "vertical farming" method can be used to grow a portable farm for fuel plants.

"type 2" energy usage will use above method, i would say... it seems logical to me.

I share most of your beliefs, but do not agree in a few moments. I believe that faith in God and strong family (not campaign of perverts, like in the West, but a real natural family, preferably with 3 or more children) should remain the core of the human inner world in the distant future.

i will reply in a short while... no power here and the ups is going to switch off :-)

.
@Syrian Lion @vostok @Mahmoud_EGY... sorry for the delay, the power was out... but now with energizes the computer and myself was freshly energized by a mug of hot drinking chocolate...

the three of you and myself have many ideas matching, and we also differ in some, like vostok and mahmoud pointed out... :-) but i will be always comfortable in your company than in someone like desertfalcon or his bosses in the white house or his brain-washers in bbc or al jazeera or united nations "human rights commission"... and talking of them, they said north korea had a coup and kim jong-un had run away... now the same people print photo of the still-in-leadership kim jong-un supported by a walking stick.

we all agree to some form of actions against greed and oppressions by money... mahmoud, please read this thread ( started by giger ) from the beginning... i think many posts ( of others too ) will be to your immediate satisfaction at least.. :-)

about god.... i never was affected by mysticism ( god, prayers, chanting, rituals ) though certain chanting ( like gregorian ) is very nice to hear... and i don't know what to call the moments when one is deeply affected by things like enlightenment, inspiration or looking at the rounded shape of the moon through binoculars...

about family... if family system must exist only because humans must take birth, then a marriage and family is not necessary at all... imagine the social situation for a near-future even like the "mars one" project where a few dozen males and females must go on a one-way trip to mars and settle there... the same situation is for elon musk's personal plans... or maybe in case of some global event like ebola spread or total war... the scientific method which is anti-race and anti-nationalism ( because those things won't matter then ) is declaring family system obsolete... i think vostok's concern results from the low russian population ( 14 million, yes?? )... besides, there are too many useless males in the world right now and cultures like mine ( south asia ) have the family system as another way of oppression... one last thing is socialism intends for a person to be concerned about everyone in society, not just someone with label "parent" or "child" or "uncle"...

about money... oppression through money exists because money system exists... so we must work towards removing it... this i have repeatedly used in many posts recently, especially in this thread.

i will paste pictures below of elon musk's new "dragon - version 2" space capsule which can carry seven cosmonauts to the international space station... the first human test is said to be within mid-2017...the same capsule is meant to be used in the near-future ( around 2025 ) mars program of spacex... you may know that spacex has already sent the "dragon - version 1" capsule thrice to the space station with real useful luggage, since 2011... that is the definite direction humanity will take... no doubts... unless some big thing happens... besides, russia and china have been practicing in the "mars 500" program, yes??

@levina your opinion too on the above and below too...

all of that is real... this really decides one direction of human future, near and far... the original poster, giger, prefers a human future governed by technocrats... i agree and add "socialism" to it... all of you will i think agree to certain extents...
