Electronic warfare system Satellite-M2 complex
The "Satellit" was specifically “designed for use on an aircraft external stores hardpoint. This [EW] pod is integrated with a weapons pylon that attaches to the underside of the Satellit. So, the aircraft can utilize one weapons station for both the EW pod and a missile. This system significantly enhances survivability.
The complex is fully automatic and is able to independently detect and identify threats to the aircraft, after which it begins to create masking interferences in range and angular coordinates. At the same time, the opponent sees several false targets in his review indicators, among which it is very difficult to highlight the real goal for him. An improved version of the Satellite-M2 complex covers the entire radar range and is not only capable of disrupting the targeting of anti-aircraft missiles, but also interferes with the air defense radars, thereby preventing targeted fire on the aircraft.
The satellite containers are located on two suspension points under the wings of the aircraft and are combined with the missile suspension assembly.
The complex can be installed on both military and civil aircrafts and helicopters.
