Obviously, I don't blame them for focusing on other groups than Isis.
Russia is simply trying to protect it's military base and access in the Mediterranean Sea through Syria and maintain it's grip on the country as a whole. However,Russia forgets that it's impossible to have both today unlike before the civil war. Since there is no way in heaven the dozens of rebel groups, Islamist fighters etc in Syria will suddenly disappear or vanish with Assad staying in power under a unified Syria. Lol

So Russia better come to terms with this and cooperate with the U.S,U.K and France and make a compromise deal whereby proper elections will be held where Assad will leave power and Russia's interests/military bases will be protected. That's the only way this conflict can somehow end or at least calm down.

I beg to differ. Assad will not leave power before his 7 years term which began last year is over. There will be no power vacuum in Damascus.
