The Tribune: Chinese Subs Permanently Sailing in Indian Ocean

. .
The operative word is " permenantly"

India has already placed PERMANENTLY their surveillance station in Mongolia and in Myanmar and Vietnam. Keeping eye on every chinese vessel and internet data. And soon going to permanently give missile to Vietnam so that they can lock you down from doing misadventures in Indian ocean against India with the help of Pakistan.

So in otherwords, both India and China are going to confront eachother on third and 4th countries rather like Pakistan, Vietnam etc and avoid direct confrontation. As both have a lot to lose. This is a sane step. As it prevents other big powers to take advantage of Syno Indo confrontation in the mainland.

. . .
I think this is a nice gesture by China to promote peace and stability in the region.

Agree. China is largest trading nation and has huge if not dominant stake in global maritime economy, say over two-thirds of container traffic passes through Chinese owned or invested ports, COSCO alone owns world's largest tanker fleet. Financially China is a surplus nation, a creditor nation with largest net external assets, it's fair for China to shoulder more bills in international maritime security, helps alleviate fiscal burden of other nations.

Vietnam is not China's enemy, nor is Mongolia. China is the biggest trading partner and more invester for both of them. Don't get delusional.

Even India and China are doing trade. US and USSR maintained trade during cold war. The point is these countries are favoring India more than China and allowing India to have bases near you.

It has nothing to do with trade.

They are not China enemies and their ties with China is much more closer than with India and those countries are smart to look after their own interests first, but still China plays a huge role in their development. If you believe that they are like Pakistan to India, you are very delusional.

How does it matter.
It does.

China has stationed its army permanently on Indian border but has not been able to take an inch of Arunachal Pradesh which it says is its part.
Well, the foe China faces - India is almost as large as China so it is understandable why both sides are in 'holdng position'. There is symmetry in numbers.

However care to explain why India has not taken Azad Kashmir which it says is it's part from Pakistan? - A foe 7 times smaller? There is extreme asymmetry in numbers and resources.

Why is the huge elephant so timid of the markhor?

Come to think of it, Pakistan could be the #1 reason that India has a supa Powa mentality. It's one thing to get crushed by China. It's another to have Pakistan fighting India to a stand still most of time. How can India claim to be a superpower when it can't even handle a country seven times smaller.

There is more than a grain of truth in what you said. This huge elephant (making a big chunk of humanity at nearly 1.3 billion) has been locked in a 68 year struggle with a country that is nearly seven times smaller. In that entire time it's only success came when it allied with the Mukhti Bahini Bangla insurgents and joined in what was a civil war going in East Bengal. Along with Mukhti Bahini and the entire population of East Bengal it managed to defeat a small garrison force of 55k Pak army. Ever since Indian';s have masturbated over this so called victory.

I guess this might have given them this supapawa complex but when faced with a enemy their own size Indian's suddenly develop she-male complex - no ball oxe !
